removing kick option in cbz
maintenance free battery are becoming common in every bike new hh glamour is also having a mf battries and even karizma too hv mf batteries but kick starter is still there in karizma and other recently launch bikes too hv mf battry but they all bikes still have their kick start option, removing kick from fuel injection bike is somewht acceptable as they don't face cold start problems.even mf batterys looses its charge when it is kept idle for more than a month than there will be only one option left that is to roll start ur bike. some or the other day u have to face problem when the battery gets expired. it has just become a style statement of widout kick bikes otherwise there is no sense in removing such a important part of bike like kick.........

IN COMPLETE AGREEMENT WITH YOU BUDDY..
WHAT ARE THOSE GUYS AT HERO HONDA THINKING..? DO THEY BELEIVE A MF BATTERY IS ALL IT TAKES TO SUBSTITUTE THE KICK..? I STILL CANT MAKE OUT WHY THE HELL THEY WANT TO SAVE A LITTLE WEIGHT BY THROWING THE ALL-IMPORTANT KICK STARTER AWAY..

it is trend started by yamaha in 2008 and followed by many comapnies including hero honda althought hh adopted it very late but still they adopted this. bajaj havn't adopted it yet, smart step taken by bajaj ...........12v-4 ah batteries are very good but still it has a maximum life of 3 yrs, warranty period of 24 months and it costs double the amount of normal battery.actually all the mf battries cost double of the normal battery, its good to install mf battery but its not good to remove kick starter option from bike
...........proper care and maintenance has to done which increases its fragility of bike

I think you had been to Nikki Motors, it's an authorised dealer/svc centre, he may not stock all spares

as i recall the first bike without kick was pulsar 220 DTS-FI. bajaj removed the kicker b'coz they implanted FI after that yamaha launched first bike FZ-16 which lost kick even it is carburated, similarly honda dazzler, stunner and pulsar 180 UG-4 and then hero honda hunk followed by CBZ-X and finally it became style statement. TVS still gives kicker. i still dont see the point of removing kick in carburated bikes...Originally posted by chohan.mohit View Postit is trend started by yamaha in 2008 and followed by many comapnies including hero honda althought hh adopted it very late but still they adopted this. bajaj havn't adopted it yet, smart step taken by bajaj ...........12v-4 ah batteries are very good but still it has a maximum life of 3 yrs, warranty period of 24 months and it costs double the amount of normal battery.actually all the mf battries cost double of the normal battery, its good to install mf battery but its not good to remove kick starter option from bike

thats an unnecessary fear i would say..Originally posted by varundl View Postwaiting for 15 days is at least reasonable! Im afraid of ever gettin the spare parts i order :d
place your order at a fairly large showroom (i mean, somewhere there is good number of sales) and keep calling them up every 2 days. You will get wat you want.
or else, as aneesh said, try to find the stockist and buy directly from there..MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE
