Can you post some pics with this change. Also , whats the size difference between these two rear shocks.Did you notice that the rear tyre is touching the ground when on main stand.Does the suspension bushes and fasteners need change or is it a clean swap.even I am planning for this modification on my Activa 3g, your inputs will help.

Also it would be good if you could tell the solution you have found for the suspension.

I'm using the Dio mostly for city commute and I'm planning to take it for long rides as well.

Do i need to service it before 4000kms recommended by Honda or servicing at 4k should be fine ?

(I'm assuming they have given long service interval considering the scooter will be used for city commute)

But after the service, they have stuck a sticker under the seat mentioning the next service interval and it says 4889KMs.

What's the correct interval for second service?

Goes left-right-left-right. I'm not sure what he and the service center checked, but they both claim they checked out everything

The local mechanic did say something about the column being bent or something and said he fixed it, felt it was bit better although it was temporary, placebo effect ? Issue still exists though.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator

    Hi guys,

Got an issue going on with my wife's Activa. The front wheel is all wobbly at times, the problem is it doesn't show itself all the time, happens randomly especially at low speeds. When we went to the service center and the lead svc guy or whoever rode it, it was fine, he even rode it without holding the handlebar and showed us it was stable but we know the reality and my wife had a nasty fall due to an uncontrollable wobble at 50 kmph.

What could be the issue that needs to be looked into ? What part(s)/section(s) do we need to tell the service center to inspect ? Because we already told them about the wobbling issue and they couldn't find anything wrong.

the noise you mentioned is associated with the CVT belt and I think its common on all honda's.Now,it could be due to normal belt wear that you don't hear it anymore,I've never given much thought to it.Now that you mentioned it,I will check it and post later,I have a dio with 25k km,had a recent belt change.

    EDIT:
the noise is still there with the new belt and it has clocked more than 3000 kms,So my guess is; the noise won't disappear like that.
Assuming your scoot is still on the factory fitted belt, the only way to be sure is to ride another honda which has clocked 6000kms with the factory fitted belt.
Normally those belts last for 20000 kms or more and it is also a good idea to inspect the belt every 5000 kms.
