Uhmmm bump ?!?Originally posted by curve_king View PostRecently a relative bought an Aviator (about 3 months back/900 kms). Since he is handy with tools & complained of sudden loss in pickup after servicing, asked him to remove spark plug to check afr. The plug was ngk MR7C 9N & the carb was of keihin make. So the afr(pilot) screw is still an "air" screw like the old activas carb or is it a "fuel" screw ? As I will ask him to turn screw accordingly. .
P.S: It was running a fair bit to the leaner side.

Instead spend that money on regular maintenance and oil changes.Originally posted by ranger View PostPlease tell me the polish or wax whatever it is which i can use on my grey dio to gey this kinda shining...
Buy a good quality microfiber cloth and a decent wax (solid or liquid type) from brands such as 3M, meguiars, armorall and follow the instructions on the bottle.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
battery life doesn't depend on how many kms the scoot has done. It depends on how you use the scoot (frequent start stops, extra electrical accessories, battery maintenance if its a regular lead acid battery). Infact, the more your ride (less frequent start/stop short rides) the better your battery life.Originally posted by ranger View PostThat was helpfull thank you sid....btw how much is the battery life on this scoot? Normally batteries last at least around 2-3years and I think since 2010 all dio's come with a maintenance free battery. These normally do not require any water top up and should last around 3yrs.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Doesn't the Grey Dio come in matte finish? You shouldn't polish or wax matte surfaces as you will damage itOriginally posted by ranger View PostPlease tell me the polish or wax whatever it is which i can use on my grey dio to gey this kinda shining...

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
as a general rule of the thumb, stick to any 10w30 or 20w40 oil. I haven't come across any oil that is 'bad' for these scoots. The main issue is ppl neglect maintenance and oil changes. These scoots will serve you long if you at least change the oil every 2000-2500kmOriginally posted by imranaryan View PostWhich oil u used..
you have a choice of the following oils:
1. honda engine oil = 10w30 golden bottle JASO MB grade
2. castrol gearless scoot oil w/zipboosters 10w30 (also used to be or maybe still available in 20w40)
3. motul's scooter engine oil 10w30
The above three are JASO MB made specifically for gearless scooters and very good oils.
If you can't get these, stick to any general oil from shell, castrol, motul is the same grade mentioned above (these will be jaso ma/ma2 grades)
