Yup you can easily shift just like i shifted to petronas. Just make sure to have the grading as xxW40.

          • Most engine oils for two wheeler in market contains additives that are designed to protect Engine, Clutch and Gear.. the engine oils are designed such that it is smooth enough to protect engine and have friction modifiers good enough to grip clutch from slipping and hard enough not to break early to protect gears(transmission) and only engine oil itself should address protection of all the three components.

Since Activa and other gearless vehicles has seperate lubircation area for gearbox and activa has dry clutch that is the clutch is not immersed in oil like motor bikes with gear so only thing that needs to be protected in gearless vehicles like activa is engine itself? so is it right to use regular motor bike oil with unnecessary additives? can't we use Car engine oil designed for cars which protects just engine ?
Read this in internet... please somebody throw some light on this!

They are not gear less, have automatic gears,So there is need for addictives in oil for better engine working and the addictives protect engine parts from wear.Correct me if i am wrong.

                    • New Owner of an Aviator Disc ( Neo Orange ).

                      Dear All,

Hii. This is my first post here. I have purchased a new aviator disc 2 days ago. Would like to know the mileage it would give at a driving speed of 40-50 kmph.
Where can I get the chassis no. imprinted on my scooter. Unable to locate it.
Within my first day of purchase, I found that the front wheel was very much jammed ( disc one ), Apply much pressure with hand to rotate it. The honda people told me its normal. But I am unable to understand as it might be giving me less fuel economy due to it. They then told me that they had released some air gap from it,and it will work fine. But still its little bit tight. Could anybody help me out.

                      Thanks in advance,
                      Arindam Saha Choudhuri

First of all congrats for your Aviator

You'll be getting easily 45-50 if driven sanely with proper acceleration and no unneccessary hard braking The chassis number will be on the left side ... See the attachment below ... And the movement of front wheel will get better as time goes on and it is not a problem generally unless its extremely tight...Generally 2-3 rotations indicate that its good

                        • Thanks a lot CJ.. Thanks for the mileage part. Regarding the disc brake the wheel does not rotate any turns on its own. If I rotate it 180 degree by hand then it rotates only 180 degree, nothing more nothing less. No freeplay of any sort, like the rear wheel. I want to know whether disc brakes are of this sort only or there might be an issue with my one. The handling is affected due to this, the scooter feels heavy when moving manually. Is there a way to loosen the disc brake, like drum brakes screw.

                          • hai all!
I recently bought a Dio(Palm Green) and is very much happy with it. Today I managed to push it for the first time to a speed of 80kmph(I'm usually a 40-50 range ride; so no speed-freak! ).
I simply wanted to know what could be the maximum speed attained on a dio..? How much was the maximum you guys have attained?

                            • @RawPower-The Maximum speed that I have achieved on my thirteen month old Dio is 94KM/H[on the Speedometer].
But the best part of the Dio is it's cornering capabilities,I can vouch for it that it corners better than Activa/Access.It's a bit reluctant to dive at first but after the initial reluctance,it's pure fun!
I've cornered faster than a Unicorn,Access,Pulsar 150 and managed to tail an RTR 180 for over six kilometers!
My Dio has never been run in,I've ruined it's battery, the choke does not work but,my God it still kicks most geared bike's heinies!(when cornering).
