    Completed 4th service last week. covered 8670km so far. no major issues.

    For the spark plug try the ngk g-power(the one comes between normal & iriudium plugs) would help the morning cold starts. i used in my previous bike(discover)

      The most expensive bill on an Activa spent on general service - Rs 9068!!! In the ownership of nearly 7 years & 18.3K on ODO!!! Can anyone believe it?

      PS - Water wash excluded!!!

          Yikes!!
          My last service bill read 1026 Rupees(16 months and 8000+ kilometers),it included the replacement of front and rear brake liners,rear tyre-tube,clutch overhaul(I do not know why they did that!),oil change,wash 'n' wax etc.
          I'll replace the engine oil myself from now.
          BTW,what specific tool is required to remove the spark plug from it's position?
          I have seen that mechanics use the tommy bar without the bar(only the sockets) to take it out.But,i'm looking for a more hassle free tool
          Also,where can one get a measuring jar(lab equipment manufacturers'?)?

              activa problem

              Hi everyone am new to this thread and i needed some help on my 2006 model activa...the activa has clocked 46k
              1)am running on green air filter past 5k kms first it was very good but now i started getting the 15-40 kmph lag before and after this speed its really good.... My mech tells me to upjet the carbs if so what should be the size of the jets.... Or any other solution with out upjetting
              2)Can anyone suggest better light than the stock bulb i dont want to change the wiring and stuff just the bulb????

                  Hii guys this is my first post on this thread . I own a 2006 activa and have clocked 40k on odo . She is in a bad bad condition inspite of proper services .
                  Both front rear brakes and suspension gone , body vibrates like hell , "ghrrr" noise comes from engine while accelerating . can anybody tell me the cost of both brakes and suspension . and what other parts are needed to change during service ???
                  I don't brake rules , I merely test their elasticity ;)

                    OMG, what all did u replace / repair to get such a big bill ?

                    Can you give me an idea about the power output form activa coil i.e. total wattage if possible as you know headlights suck so if i have the calculations i can do some jugaad .

                        In the tool kit their is a spark plug wrench looks like somthing like below without the attached rods. it provides holes in which screw drivers are inserted and twisted to unscrew it

                            to know exact current rate better go to a nearby honda service center and ask the personal .. or any original part shop fellow

                            other bike repair shops are very high on cost and its always better to be safe with some knowledgable hands

                              Recommended Engine Oil for Honda Activa

                              Which engine oil do you guys suggest for a Honda Activa? the brand rating and quantity to put...i know its recommended 20W40 but does anyone have a different view or suggestion...

                              this scooter gives a lot of trouble starting....

                              i give it for getting repaired it works fine that day but after a day or 2 the starting problem arises again..is it due to the very cold weather here in mumbai?
