I checked on monday in kun honda adyar, they said it cost around 4.5kOriginally posted by aargee View PostCosted around 2K for my Activa sometime during Nov 2011
My personal choice - CEAT
, it's too huge for a scoot.
Covered almost 20k. What will be life time of mrf tires in scoot aargee?

This is what am asking from them. I don't want to change after getting the price. Exhaust is working good after the accident. Just a dent only.Originally posted by aargee View PostToo much!!! Not sure how the exhaust can cost 10% of the scooter's price

need some info fellow bhpians. what would be the cost of the lock set for activa. The key was lost, my dad got a key done but the quality of the key is pathetic, it gets bent even if i try to unlock the underseat storage. so thinking of either replacing the lock set or get a duplicate keyset directly from honda. which one would be a better option?karizmatic

Honda Dio Questions
1. Did the Honda Dio ever come with an extended warranty? Like a 5 year or 3 year over the existing 2 year standard warranty?
2. What engine oil for the Dio? I plan to go down the "elf" or "motul" route and change the oil this week-end. What grade synthetic? How much is it?
3. Also wanna change the spark plug as preventive maintenance. How does the NGK iridium work for this? Is it even available for the Dio? How much is it?
Would appreciate answers from the Dio boys out here :-)

2. Dio runs without issues on the standard honda 20w40 oil (white bottle). Ensure you fill up the recommended quantity 800ml nothing more. This oil is good for 2000 - 2500km max. Use this oil for the first 15000km. I have used honda oil for 20000km (with just two doses of castrol -NEVER use castrol
, atleast not on activas & dios - not sure about the new one for gearless scooters). You can also try the shell ax5 20w40, i have been using it post 20000km on my dio and is better than the standard honda oil and lasts atleast 500km longer. Trust me i have done non stop 120km at speeds over 65kmph(speedo indicated) and the engine never felt strained on the shell ax5 and the oil was good for 3000km. the ax5 comes in 1l bottle but ensure u use only 800ml.
3. Stick to the stock spark plug or maybe ngk platinum. not worth going for the iridium on the dio
Regular maintenance between 2500-3000km (cleaning the air filters, changing oil, cleaning plugs etc) is the key to keep it running well for a looong time. Mine is 5.5yrs old and has run 35000km and still runs like new with that nippy zippy pickup

lets see if they can provide one
not sure about the cost of a new keyset. could be around 800rs if i remember my mech telling me. i buy my spares directly from honda asc at erragadda but get my bike serviced elsewere.

I prefer the stock mrf zappers.. very good on dry roads.. just ok in the wetOriginally posted by MR ACE View PostI checked on monday in kun honda adyar, they said it cost around 4.5k

I used to apply both brakes @ a time.
mine lasted 16k at the rear and the front is on after 34k and looks like it will last another 2k. whatever tire you wish to use, just ensure you get a new tube (the tuff up ones from honda) - these are very useful in minimizing the effects of a puncture (Ive ridden with a nail for 300km a cpl of times

Hi Guys..I have following queries
Is it possible to fit the new Dio's tubeless tyres(TVS 90/100) to Hero Honda Pleasure?
Is it like direct fit without any modification?
Anyone knows please share with me
Thanks in advance2012 HONDA CBR 250 R C-ABS

Yes, it is a direct fit. Even the rims are the same, just to be cautious make sure there are no bends in the rim. The slightest bend will give you the day of your life once plonked in.Originally posted by satheez_7 View PostHi Guys..I have following queries
