Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator

    Hi,

    I bought a new Aviator recently. For the past couple of days I feel a kind of drag that drive belt is a bit tight. Same kind of feeling when you have bike's chain overtightened and you can feel the drag. It is compounded with a pillion and on uneven roads.
    Also, sometimes it feels as if the drive belt has a joint/or pulleys over which this belt runs giving vibes. Overall drive is not smooth.

    Current odo reading is 800 km. Issue started at around 300km on the odo.

    One of my friend who rode it recently also reported the same issue.

    Tried with two service centers in Delhi. Service center guys say it is normal and they can't feel a thing!

    Anyone experienced the same issue?

      ^^^^^Well,even I feel the same!!But for me,the issue is more noticeable when riding with a pillion!Also i feel that it has more to do with the brakes

        Can you please elaborate how it is related to the brakes?
        Mine is Aviator DLX model, so front has disc brake.

        My friend recently bought an Activa and it is all smooth.

          Activa having acceleration problem

          Hi Everyone,

          I own a 3 and a half year old Activa and have 39k kms in it. It has recently developed a problem. When I try to accelerate, it first slows down and then after sometime slowly picks up speed. I would like to know why this is happening and what is the remedy for it?

            Well I tried to cruise for 10 kilo-meters but did not find it sluggish but when I rode it as a pillion i felt that more throttle was required to get it moving!!Also when you start the scooter using the choke(when the scooter stands on the center stand)the wheels should spin freely but my rear wheel refuses to move spontaneously but if I twist the accelerator a bit more then the rear wheel spins!Hence,I THOUGHT that the brakes were the culprits.Anyways,I'll explain it to the HMSI service center when I visit it.

              With a pillion, more throttle will be required.
              I start the scooter with choke and the rear wheel spins freely. Compared with other similar vehicles. No difference found.
              Mine issue is not related to pickup, but harshness as if belt is not running evenly.
              I am still clueless about the issue.

                  That happens as the engine gets older,not to worry it generally happens when pistons have to do more work when the throttle is fully engaged.

                        Please help!!
                        My Dio's self starter just dies if I try to use it when the Headlight is on!!My battery started giving me problems since the day I installed "Made In China" horns without any Modifications.I think the battery's gone Kaput.Is this the case??If yes,then can I get my Dio's battery replaced under warranty?
                        I know that I was stupid in trying to modify my vehicle without adequate know-how's.

                            LADAKH on Honda Aviator

                            Hi all,

                            I am going to buy an Aviator 110 cc. I read in an internet posting about someone who went to Ladakh on an Aviator and an Activa.

                            Will it be possible to achieve it, because some people are discouraging me and some are encouraging me. Kindly advice.

                                before you take your dio to the svc first remove the horns...
