battery replacement is done by the service center of the battery and by the honda svc so just take it to the svc in the delivery condition and dont tell them anything about the horns.... they might tell you to get it replaced from the vendor in that case try and force them to do it...... but in my opinion the charging should solve the problem....

          Thank you,Sir!
I too hope that just the process of recharging will rid my vehicle of it's woes.

and nice work with the lights... i guess those are the 2 main issues we guys face.. poor road illumination by the headlight n suspension that makes u feel the road..
I agree. Suspension is crappy (with roller coaster roads here) and headlight brightness sucks.

For better lighting i agree with the mods of installing extra lights, so now the problem faced is the battery.
I have installed 12V 7AH battery (UPS Battery) in my Activa, and works perfectly. (See image)

Minimum mod to the battery stand as the width of UPS battery is more and height is less.
With more juice, we get instant starts and can install extra lights.

Does it suits Dio too? So far no problem with the stock battery. But the HL sucks big time..

As per HMSI website, DIO is powered using 12V 4AH battery and Activa uses 12V 5AH battery.
I dont see any reason why it should not work for DIO, because max current draw is only during ignition with electric starter.
You can install extra 35W fog lights.
Also, please try if only if your vehicle is out of warranty as these mods may invalidate the warranty.

Done with first service. The scoot is quite good after the first service.

I find difficult to start the vehicle on morning. I have to kick it for atleast 5-10 times to give her the warm up. Is this common in all dio?

yes it is. But most people follow the mistake that they dont use the center stand for kick starting the scoot. Are you commiting the same mistake?? If yes then i would suggest to change the method and use the center stand while kick starting. Due to this mistake some part in my scoot gone kaput and it costed me something around 200 bucks to get it fixed.

then just simply use the choke with the kick starter. Always works fine with me.

                          • Peculiar Problem in Monsoon - Activa

                            Hi,

I have noticed this peculiar problem with my Activa during monsoons. Everytime when the vehicles goes through a large puddle of water, upto half a foot deep or more, the clutch seems to loose grip and I loose pickup.
Increasing the RPM does not pick up speed for about 30-60 seconds, after which it runs normally.
Has anyone faced this issue with either activa or dio ?

                            • Hello,
I need to get my Honda Activa serviced. Please suggest a good mechanic around Maratahalli Area. I hate to get it done from Authorized service stations, as they do a water wash and spark plug cleaning and call it service
With petrol rates increasing, the way my vehicle is drinking up the petrol I do not think I will be able to use it unless it is treated by a good doctor.
                              Thanks

Even I had this experience!I was riding my vehicle with a pillion in a small puddle(about five feet in diameter),the depth was around a feet or two suddenly the engine note subsided and the power curve seemed to have a negative slope, but amazingly the note returned to normalcy and even the accelerator response was back to normal.
Now,I try to avoid riding it during heavy monsoon showers as the grip levels aren't all that great and also i can almost avoid all the water puddles.
