The K & N is fitted inside the air filter box & not directly on the carb. I have not tested the top speed as yet will do it when I get time & post later. I also changed the handle grips to Progrip grips from KRP, they're fantastic. I also forgot to mention the HID kit which I have for almost 2 months now, it's really great. Both the low & the high beam are HID. Now all I need on the bike is a Good free flow exhaust.

hi , doesn't just using the k&N harm the engine in the long run coz it runs a leaner air - fuel mixture ? what exactly is the re-tuning you have done ? I ask because this has been a real dilemma whether using K&N is actually of any help ... and also KRP progrips , where did you get them from , been looking to change mine too , did change it , but didn't find it all that comfortable ... hope i'm not bugging you too much ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

      • Vinoob: I'm checking the mileage, will let you know later.

nand15: I got the grips from KRP in Delhi, they are really active now. I got my grips & tank pad in about 3 days after making their payment. I will post pics later.

          • Solving Fazer headlight issue

Guys.. this has been one Highly confusing issue to all fazer owners.. And seriously Jugaad is not an option.. I got my both headlights to work perfectly fine.. as in normal. both low and high beams work properly as they should and without any battery draining issues.
I got electrical work done from a local mechanic famouss in jaipur. No Simple serially connecting bike wires. He used sprockets(or sockets not know exact term!, new wiring, double headlight supporting bulb wiring holders and some new wires.. No cutting and damaging my bike electricals. He just replaced the existing bulb sprockets(single ones) with the new sprocket(supporting double headlights).. Whole electrical items costed around Rs 400 +labour cost rs 150=RS550.
but the work done was totally proper..!! end excellent. you cant say and spot any kinda difference in bike.. For getting this work done in Jaipur. people may contact me through my profile..

lolz You got ripped.....all you need is just a wire to connect the LH high beam to the RH High beam... and you would have been good. No Sockets (Sprockets are somwthing totally different) change required AFAIK.

No buddy.. from simple maths that i gather..! if you try to run 70 watts total power bulb on company customised batttery made to support only 35 w single bulb at a time.. !! you are playing dangerously with your batterry.. and electricals. Simple common sense.. And by the way i myself was present at the time of my headlight modification.. and the electrical mechanic guaranteed me of complete security to my battery and even that no kinda loadd on my electrical system at all...
For this safety of my bike electricals.. and battery.. i am willing to pay an additional 300 to 400 rs.. even if he charges me some what extra.. BUT FULL AND PERMANENT SOLUTION.

Also the thing that you are suggesting is Typicall INDIAN JUGAAD.. and not a good permanent solution.. and the parts my mechanic used were baught in front of me.. and he really used it.. i really saw what was the difference in them and original parts.. !!! AND they did cost truly around 350 rs..

So what bulbs are you running now?
Do they still add to 70W?

                              • @chinmay: The leg guard should be available at your Yamaha authorised dealer. Please check with them. I have posted a pic with the leg guard on the Fazer a few pages back. It costs 600/- INR in Mumbai.
