After first 500 kms you can cruise upto 60kmph but dont go over it till first 1000 kms. You can grdually increase speed but dont try going max speed before 2000 kms. If you are still under 500 kms then dont go over 50 kmph or 4k rpm.Originally posted by puneetsingh View PostYes your adivice relly worked...now it doesnt give to much problem in the morning ...engine starts very well....

Hi Puneet. As per my personal experience, try to stick to 50-55 Km/Ph, even after 1st service. It will longer your bike's engine life. After 2nd service maintain max 65. I am not a mechanical engineer (I am a software engineerOriginally posted by puneetsingh View PostYes your adivice relly worked...now it doesnt give to much problem in the morning ...engine starts very well....

though), but I realised that it keeps the engine much smooth. As for better light, cosgeo99 has already suggested me about the philips 60-55w bulb as he is using it on his Uni. But I haven't tried yet (haven't got time to search for). You may go for that, and can check the result or chat with cosgeo99 for his experience with the light upgrade. Safe riding.

Could we please get past the Unicorn's fuel efficiency as a moot point in this thread..?
People shyed away from the Uni before the styling update due to this very feature of most Uni owners : 'Tis a commuter oriented 'mileage' bike..
Lets try and discuss aspects of this bike that us owners know about.
For example..
The handling of this machine is exemplary for its class.
It truly has to be experienced to be believed. One ride to your favourite set of twisties and you'll forgive the lack of horses in the Honda mill.
Im not flaming or blaming anyone over here. All im suggesting is that, we gotta make this ownership thread move beyond fuel averages and fuel average enhancing tips
Cheers..!!I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

New Member Into Unicorn Family
Hi All,
This is Pranesh from Bengaluru... Based on the positive feedback by all the xBhpians, i bought myself Grand Prix version of Honda Unicorn on 8th Dec 2008... Ever since my first ride, am completely head over heals for this bike, the sound itself is so sweet, i don't have words to describe
it... This morning i went for a ride on the NICE Corridor and took pics of her... Please find the same... I did go through all the valuable tips given by all the proud owners of this bike, and its been very helpful, please keep it flowing
This is my 2nd bike, my first bike is Yamaha RX-135 (Am still having it, and don't have any intentions to sell
