Mr. Babu, I stand corrected. Yes we need to clean them as you specified, I interpreted them wrongly !! But it is so common practice at Honda SVC not to clean these things in first service. So.....in effect, these things are never cleaned until engine case is opened for any rework. and these are very crucial components !! In my case, I insisted them to clean these filters in my second service, as it was not done in first service.

How can we know if these filters were ever cleaned ? In service invoice, they would have charged for engine case gasket, IF these filters have been cleaned.

well i doubt on this if the mechanic would be knowing any word like oil pump? as for the oil stainer are you mentioning to the picture I have just shared in this post.

using 10w30 Honda oil & it is a good oil

    Yes thats strainer screen.

They would be knowing oil pump, its very well known thing. Thing....that pumps oil onto engine . Honda 10w30 is good enough !!

No such problems of using xxW50 oil in uni engine.. provided your bike has to complete more than 2000-3000 km on odo..I use motul 300v factory line..have been using it from just after third service.. no problems reported yet..not even a clutch slip which occurs because of using fully synthetic oil in smaller engine.. engine feels smoother and enhanced acceleration too.however your bike is new and you must prefer OEM mentioned lubricant.. anything above will void warranty..

Buddy there is a lot of difference between rs 1000/ltr and rs 250/ltr xxW50 oil. That is why I asked him the brand also.

Did u just turned the suspension set up to hard/ soft to raise the saddle?? I felt like keeping it in mid of two was having better handling on normal road terrain..

That setting just controls the compression of the bike not the height, mine is heightened.

If u put a stock uni in center stand and sit on it, dats how tall my bike is now without the stand, on stand both my wheels are touching the ground.

yahi to galti ho gain na my dear friend. The older unicorn was a thousands or a lack time better but this cb unicorn really a very very bad decision I have gone. Plus more over now the quality of so called honda has gone down badly which has been seen here not only on my bike but few other for an eg. Here in my city there is a honda cbr 250 abs parked in the asc since 3 weeks the owner has just ridden her for 1336 km and his entire engine is going to be open same problem as mine I have heard his sound its huge sounds are coming from his vehicle, a brand new shine just came today he had just done 2000 km and his engine is making good amount of sound like his pistons have also gone.

Now the quality is not at all the same as it used to be before 2011 vehicles.

                          +1.
That is the reason for me not selling my 2006 spokes Uni even after a lakh kms on it. No complain ever, only a small top overhaul at 87xxxx kms. Mileage never drop less than 55 kmpl at riding between 60~70 kmph.

The gear problem will be fine after first service, yes change the oil at first service and use Honda recommended oil till running period.
