True... Things which are in favour of unicorn are tired and tested engine, easily avail of spare parts even from localmarket as hero extreme and hunk uses the same engine...but in against i must say a boring look, no digital meter, also mono shockers many ppls complaints for backache.

Things in favour of GS150R are digital meter , sixth gear and in against not so commonly found on road (delhi) as a result difficult to gets parts locally, even pricing may be higher.

I would like to put my views here, yes you are right about the engine of Unicorn, it's really the smoothest and I just love it, even when you revv hard, you don't hear much noise. . . Now coming to the availability of spares and again you are right, they are available, ease of access. . . Looks wise too yes and with a boring analog meter, it has old look but still looks well built, the bike's really good and you'll enjoy each and every time you ride it. . . About the monoshocks, no ways BIG NOOO about that. . . People find it comfortable with monoshock, it has got relaxing seating position, which gives you pleasant ride and the shocks is also good, . . I have ridden it for long rides and even though I use suzuki shogun sports handlebar, I did not get any sought of back pain, except little uneasiness with the seats cos my bike's seat is gone, so gotta get a new cover for it, that'd solve the problem and make it even more comfortable. . . I think you will be riding in a city with traffic (correct me if I am wrong here) almost all the time, so in that case why do you need 6th gear, the bike has good power and torque, which allows minimum gear shifts and every now and then gear shifts, so I think the Honda is a good option for you. . . But again, it's your opinion which you got to see and as said, take a test ride of both and let us know which you liked it, . .

PS: While taking the test ride, trying not just riding in open roads, but also in little traffic and little bumpy roads, so you'll have an idea on how each bike behaves. . .

        Cheers!!!

I am happy for soughting it out for you. . . Don't worry mate, just go for it, it's the best as per your usage, if you are too bored with its looks after you buy it, just do some graphics work here and there and your bike will look awesome like I had made earlier and as said if you need the best of all the things available, you should be ready to lose at least one thing and I don't think it looks that old, try getting the all black colour which sure is a looker and do it with some graphics, that's it, . . Good luck. . .

Body according to me looks beautiful, and about the meter, old is gold I find analogue meters better, I like to see a needle go up when I accelerate rather see numbers changing on a display which is annoying really. Looks wise its definitely better than the gs150r.

Having seen your posts on the uni thread as well, guess you need to prioritise your requirements. Product wise both are on par. I would suggest buy the one which you like more.. the one which you think will feel good seeing every morning, and riding to work.

I for one, ruled out pulsars (in 2009) simply because my dhobi had one and no regrets even now may I add!

It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

                    Lols DHOBHI... hehehe Nice one...

Very true .. pulsars are too common..

GS150R looks bigger than Unicorn, but losses its shine due to unpopularity... in DELHI (This is thing which forces me to think for unicorn)

I had actually bought the GS precisely for this reason only - its relative rarity on the roads. My other vehicle purchase - maruti ritz - also I had bought only because (at that time) it was not as popular as the swift which was there everywhere you looked.. So to each their own peculiar rationale !

In fact, being a marketing professional, my experience is that most of our buying decisions are based on emotions, then justified later by logic. I am sure in your heart you have already chosen what you want, now only trying to rationalise that decision.

Between these 2 vehicles, anyway in either case you will not go wrong.

                      cheers !

Just got my Unicorn back from service and it feels worse than before the service. Long story short Kun Honda in T Nagar Chennai is a terrible place. So I'm looking for a good Honda service center in Chennai. Guys do help out and suggest from your experience.

Personally I feel ASC is just crap, find a well reputed local mechanic and get your bike serviced in front of you.
