Fair point but it's because I dont really know any such mechs that I'm force to go to ASC. Any suggestions for mechanic are also welcome.

Guys planning to change my bike's stock air filter myself from now on, I find it's easy to remove and install it but my query is, is it enough to just replace the air filter or tune the air filter after I have replaced, if yes then it's a big disappointment as I am not much into tuning part, going to learn from now on. . .

Cheers!!!

I presently have air filter now which is almost dusty, so I want to replace the air filter, same stock air filter of my Unicorn, so I am asking that is it just plug and play with the same filter (new one) or does it require tuning, tuning of the AF. . ?

Cheers!!!

Pweeh thanks, cos one of my friend said that I need to tune the carb also after I change the air filter, so was confused about it. . .

Why touch the carb when everything is fine already?

Yup, the query I got in mind was as the present filter is old and accumulated dirt, while installing the new one, it might need some tuning in the carb as more air will flow after the new one is installed (this was what I thought and what my friend said me), so asked. . .

Cheers!!!

Rakesh Air filter is plug and play component , your friend is right in a sense that when we swap with K&N it causes increased air flow for which we need to rejet . But stock doesnt need any tuning . After cleaning of carb thoroughly we usually tune it .

Oh ok bro, got it and I am not going for K&N, just the same factory filter but a new one. . .

Hi guys
I'm facing a problem with my bike. Ever since I bought it there has been jerking while accelerating. Like if I shift into gear and release the throttle, raise it there is a jerk in the bike, now to the point that it is irritating. Local mech says its okay but I havent felt such jerking on other bikes so I know its not my riding that is affecting this. Any help?

Thanks

If its since the time u bought it then it could've been a defect in the carb, didn't you report this at the ASC?

Its gradually been increasing as time passed. This was my first bike so by the time I learned to ride properly I was already in my 3rd servicing.

It may be possible tht u ar leaving ur clutch too early..as there is need to be perfect coordination btw these two. As this is ur first bike. I suggest give ur bike to someone else for ride and see if he also feels the same.

The problem is when the gear is engaged and when riding at constant speed whenever I raise or release the throttle there is a jerk from the bike. This happens in lower gears upto 3rd.
