Re: Help needed to remove plastic film from Unicorns Headlight
yes I am going to sell her out finally. Today the repairing job is going on so that the buyer who comes to take the bike does not get to hear the sound which is coming from the bike as we speak. For that I am getting her repaired for the last and the final time. For me speaking to the company well they have already shat in there pants many times I am already famous in the company for this work. Well if there is the problem in the machine already and even which is unable to be diagnosed either my the engineers of the company or the asc I think it is better to get rid of that vehicle. Well so many times the company people have worked on the vehicle they repair and go everything is ok untill as I hit the 800 km mark from the last repair again that sound starts coming from the piston area which even the company people have seen and said yes and they changed that part well today again as I speak the part is being replaced for the 4th time everything in the machine is a ok all the pipes from the filter and the carburator have been checked just incase there is a whole anywhere which might be sending dust inside which is causing this problem to come again and again well that was also seen and said that it is ok. now the main piston is being changed and soon i am selling of the machine.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Post
well everywhere will be the same case as the comapny people are working on it and not the asc there are 3 engineers working Mr. Bjay Gautam in there head. More over the Asc where I go it is the oldest here in my town about 10 years old and the mechanics which work on the machine are well trained experienced and working here since 10 years with honda.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View Post

Get ur bike repaired properly before selling it to someone, they've also worked hard to earn that money, don't sell them a faulty bike.Originally posted by arjunb25 View Postyes I am going to sell her out finally. Re: Help needed to remove plastic film from Unicorns Headlight
What these engineers are doing i do not know but the thing is that they are not trying to rectify the main cause rather than replacing the cylinder. A bike is eating cylinder after cylinder and so called engineers are only going on replacing cylinders. The actual problem is in crank of the bike. Either the crank is out of its tolerance limits or the big end is worn which is causing the piston to rattle and thus eating away the bore.Originally posted by arjunb25 View Postyes I am going to sell her out finally. If i would have been then i would have screw warranty and torn apart the engine at my home, worked the crank at my friends lathe and re-bored the cylinder with USHA 0.25 piston with tight clearance like in extreme. Then i would have ridden for another 10k and sold it. Because these bikes do not command high re-sale value in market. So repairing and riding for sometime and selling is sensible. If it is me as i will not incur any labor charges as i would be working on my own and my friend will not charge me to use his Hydraulic press, oring and honing machine.
Good decision of selling the bike, but please take care as the person whom you are selling will be also a common man who have earned his share of money by toiling hard. Man if he faces problem, then he may not express it but the curse from his mind will affect you.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. Re: Help needed to remove plastic film from Unicorns Headlight
Guys I have a Unicorn 2006 model, spoke wheel, planning for some clip on handlebars and presently riding on with suzuki shogun sports handlebar, ONE OF THE BEST HANDLEBAR FOR UNICORN I CAN SAY, ultimate handling, easily accessed in traffic and you can just zip through it with that small handlebar (hope you understand this, can't really explain much so
) . . What do you say guys will clip on's look good for spoke wheels with Pulsar 200NS mirrors. . ?
Cheers!!!

you mean to say, like thisOriginally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostYea it will, if done right.
which you had posted previously. . . My thing is Unicorn is mine is not a classic neither a fully sports bike, it's placed in the middle, so that's what my doubt is. . . I have seen clip on's on a Old CBZ Classic, it looked extraordinary on that bike, even though it had spoke wheels, so I suspect that whether it will look the same with my bike as well. . . Another is that planning to go for 1" lesser tire for my rear, i.e., 17" just to fit it in with 120mm tires with a fender eliminator, any views about this. . .
Cheers!!!

Re: Help needed to remove plastic film from Unicorns Headlight
Yea something like that but not that bulky, clipons will look good on any bike don't worry but u also have to install rearset foot pegs or ur seating position will be weird. Tyre I'm completely against changing from 18" to 17" ull lose mileage, top speed and handling if u do so. And the first gen uni can handle only 100/90 tyre max, to go for a wider tyre you'll need to install the new cb unicorn swingarm.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Postyou mean to say, like this

Re: Help needed to remove plastic film from Unicorns Headlight
ah! Don't worry about that well I had given the vehicle again to the company and this time they changed all the bearings of the vehicle. Around 9 bearing of the engine have been changed of the engine. And I am guessing the problem is solved I hope as there is no sound from the vehicle at present I have done 300 km from the time she had been repaired for the 4 th time after completing 800 km to 1000 km then I will sell the vehicle after assuring that the person to whome I sell won't come to my house again claiming for his money.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostGet ur bike repaired properly before selling it to someone, they've also worked hard to earn that money, don't sell them a faulty bike.

Ok will keep these things before going further and yes mine's kinda first generation one, 2006 model and about the above pic, I think we need to get that excess which visible above to make the bike look great. . .Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostYea something like that but not that bulky, clipons will look good on any bike don't worry but u also have to install rearset foot pegs or ur seating position will be weird. Re: Help needed to remove plastic film from Unicorns Headlight
And i thought, extreme modification was a short-term temporary fashion a couple of years ago. But i can see a healthy evolution of it in your unicorn. Amazing work. The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.
