Well this time again the 4th time when the vehicle had gone to the workshop for the sound noise. This time again they were ready to replace the cylinder well before all this I told them along with the cylinder change the bearings also. Hence around 6 bearings along with the cylinder kit have been changed and I have done life 400 km till now there is no sound no noise just waiting for another 300 km when I am satisfied then I will sell otherwise this time I will move to the court of law. And also go to press and media. For the faulty part/ vehicle being supplies by these companies

Hey! I think you've posted your query in another thread as well!Originally posted by raja_roadster View PostHave any one converted full dc in unicorn ,with headlamp modifications ,during nightrides the bike suffers from less illumination
First step would be to upgrade the headlight bulb in your bike. Did you try that? If you are running on normal 35/35 try and upgrade Phillips or Osram NB. It is much safer, reliable and no alterations needed. My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial

Errr.... Unless the uni has a 65/55 watt lighting coil, it wont support a osram nb or phillips ev.Originally posted by petrolhead_chn View PostHey! I think you've posted your query in another thread as well!

Re: Honda Unicorn
Yes they do. But they arent much better than stock halonix ones. For btighter light you need a more powerful bulb.Originally posted by petrolhead_chn View PostDoesn't OS or Phillips have a 35/35? I thought it did

I suggested so that he could test it out and see if it is better than his stock lighting before taking up alterations. Re: Honda Unicorn
Hi @sinnerz2000 and all, am planning to upgrade the bike a little bit, it's a kinda slow project, will post the pics and everything else once it is completed, so as to get the work done once in for all, just collecting all the necessary things now and BTW planning to upgrade my 2006 unicorn spoke wheel to alloy wheels, viewers input would be very helpful. . .
Cheers!!!

Re: Honda Unicorn
What kind of upgrade bro? Performance? Personally I like the spokes itself, alloys will give the bike a more premium look but in terms of maintenance spokes is least nd cheapest, nd AFAIK ull need to change ur disk plate and calipers too if ur upgrading to alloys.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View PostHi @sinnerz2000 and all, am planning to upgrade the bike a little bit, it's a kinda slow project, will post the pics and everything else once it is completed, so as to get the work done once in for all, just collecting all the necessary things now and BTW planning to upgrade my 2006 unicorn spoke wheel to alloy wheels, viewers input would be very helpful. . .

Re: Honda Unicorn
that's what I am looking for, a PREMIUM LOOK. . . Presently it's a custom upgrade, performance upgrade will be done later. . . About the change of disc plates and callipers, I don't think so bro cos as much as I have heard, only the rear sprocket should be changed but rest others will fit. . . About the other details, it'll be posted once the job is done. . .Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostWhat kind of upgrade bro? Performance? Re: Honda Unicorn
U don't need a sprocket change coz I'm using the new Cb unicorns sprocket set on my spoke wheels, but disk you have to change coz the spokes disk will not fit on alloy wheels.Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Postthat's what I am looking for, a PREMIUM LOOK. . . Re: Honda Unicorn
mmmmh okay, will just check that out, if they say the same, then it will be out of the list as I don't wanna spend more on this alone and will just have a performance upgrade later on. . .Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostU don't need a sprocket change coz I'm using the new Cb unicorns sprocket set on my spoke wheels, but disk you have to change coz the spokes disk will not fit on alloy wheels.

Mods for Honda Unicorn and ADVISES ?
Mine is a Honda Unicorn 2007 model.
I have a few problems with my uni. The power output is very low. Even a 95cc honda activa or bajaj platina or even cd dawn may have more power output, and moves faster. I feel surprised when these kind of bikes overtake me on highways.
1) What shall I do to have my performance increased ?
2) How to get a performance increase ?
3) My electrical output is low, the "bright" mode headlamp too has a very low light output. What to do on this ?
And, please suggest some creative cosmetic mods for Honda unicorn ?

Am I reading it wrong or did you miss out details brother?Originally posted by roshanvallappillil View Post1) What shall I do to have my performance increased ?

BTW, I first suggest you to ride another unicorn and then compare it with yours. You could then set expectations.Last edited by petrolhead_chn; 08-10-2013, 07:37 AM.My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial
