      Hi Arjun,

I can only suggest you to - Either sell that Honda and get a hero or start using Hero engine parts where ever possible.
Most of the engine parts are compatible and are of excellent quality.

We must teach these foreign companies a lesson or two. They can't takes us for granted.

No offence to anyone but if you still think that Honda makes best quality two-wheelers then it is entirely upto you. I felt the need to inform you and clear the misconception.
After all- Its your money, your wish and decision in the end.

A noob query , can block or piston be exchanged of unicorn with Older extreme model ?
If thats possible then you will get better reliability than Honda

Its not that he bought the parts, it was changed by the ASC for him on warranty.

Extreme is 0.5 bhp better than unicorn, would u really experiment with ur bike for that much gain? AFAIK extremes mileage is lesser by about 5-10 kmpl than unicorn, we can just do some Carb tuning or up jetting and gain same or even more performance than extreme for the same mileage of extreme.

Extreme is almost 1 bhp more than unicorn. But it is not the power but the way it makes power makes the difference. While unicorn feels smooth and easier to cruise, extreme lays its power aggressively, hitting red-line with urgency and throttle response feels very sharp. I still remember the line that Overdrive has said while testing extreme:- "The engine is so punchy that tyson will be proud of the punch". Yes the engine feels very punchy. And regarding mileage, mileage is not much different that unicorn. My extreme returns 55+ kpl when i ride gently and on highways riding at 80-85 it returns 52-54 kpl.
Extreme has many difference from unicorn:-
              1. Carb is bigger- unicorn runs 26mm and extreme 28mm
              2. Camshaft- Camshaft is high lift camshaft
              3. Ignition timing is more agressive than unicorn
              4. Airfilter is bigger and lets in more air
              5. Unicorn main jet is 115 while extreme has 128 size main jet.
              6. Piston is different as extreme has slightly higher compression.

Makes sense. Now that u mention throttle response, my unis response is lesser compared to my bros uni, I can notice the lag when I whack the throttle on neutral. If I ask my mech he'll just say power tune it, but I want the tuning to remain stock for now, what must be wrong with my bike?

Whenever I start the bike at an interval of a day to say or even 12hrs: it doesn;t start without the choke on for a while. It takes a hell of a time to go above 2000rpm on still, stays at 1 to 2Ks and only after few choke on distance it works. It never happened when the bike was new. It started occurring roughly 15 days after the second service.

Are all of the wing riders facing this? Any solution? I'm using the stock HONDA Engine OIL.

I don't know, I always start my bike on choke every morning to circulate the oil properly

finally an update, I have gone deep inside the company well in my case I am famous in the company right know. On Monday the 25/06/2013 4 mechanics 3 engineers are coming all the way from Delhi to inspect my vehicle rather I should say to hear the vehicle as I have sent them fresh videos of the new kit which was installed which also has started making noise after 100 km. Well right know the company's ass sorry for my language is at stake as if !%% it has been proved to them that the part which is being supplied to them from there great vendors they will actually have to suffer a lot of compensation which I am going to ask them for. As this is a totally a case to be born in the consumer forum.

I have given them good warnings also the video links are also with them well at first what I came to know is that the engineer looking after my city his job is at line that how come a customer can pick up the cylinder kit in his hand and inspect in there quality like that.
Alot of things are at stake at this moment shall keep you guys updated of the same.

Well one thing is for sure soon I will be buying a different bike. Well I am happy for that but yes I loved Honda but not anymore.
As in this case I have suffered a lot of pain and money ( money for engine oil)

Well there's a good news friends. First of all a small brief to you all I think my previous cylinder kit which was changed at 8000 km when u remember friends the mechanic had told me to keep the engine running without load for 2 hrs at night and 2 hrs in the morning I believe that spoiled the kit completely. Well this time in the second attempt after 1000 km when they again changed it I did not do any ideling no Not this time rather I drove the vehicle in slow speed and finish my run in but somewhere the sound was still coming hence I had sent an email to the company because of which they sent there best engineer to visit my vehicle. After he came we went for a short spin where he saw and heard the sound then we came back after the vehicle became normal cold he set the tappets with the measurements 0.8 then he cleaned the spark plug adjusted it. And secondly he cleaner the secondary air supply.
after this we went again for a test ride. And wow I could not believe this was my vehicle whose engine they messed up so badly I guess the asc are bad but these fully trained engineers are better much better.

Finally quate the problem is solved and I have a smile on my face. Now the seat job is going to be carried out shall share the snap ones it is complete.
