The plug cap probably isn't seated properly.Originally posted by windrider007 View Posthey guys, i just replaced my spark plug on my 2012 unicorn odo 7k. Re: Is my unicorn' engine seized?
It feels great that the Unicorn thread is still up and kicking.
Mine is 9+ years old now, recently got following done on my bike
Crank serviced,
changed clutch plates,
replaced valves and piston
changed cone set
maintained the run-in and now the bike is effortless and cruise easily at 90-100 all day long. Next in line is : getting the shockers refilled, Handle bar changed and need to get the spokes tightened.

Well the thread is up but not kicking like the other threads. Could you post the charges for the above?Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View PostIt feels great that the Unicorn thread is still up and kicking.

My bikes sprocket is almost at its end of life @ 36500 Kms. The adjustor stays at the last available point and the chain cannot be further tightened...
I believe it is normal for a chain to wear out after 30K kms.
What would be the cost of the Chain and Sprocket ? Any suggestions on the make of the chain and Sprockets. ?
Should I also change the rubber bushes which would come in the place connecting the wheel and rear Sprocket. ? what is the name of it
and what would be its cost.

Re: Is my unicorn' engine seized?
Chain sprocket set at asc is around 1500 bucks, buy a brand named 'rolon' from local spares shop it costs 800, its the same which asc uses. Yes change the rubber bushes in the rear wheel, local mechs call it sprocket bush, costs only 80 bucks.Originally posted by BlackPanther View PostConeset costed around 360 and I changed them at 35K kms.

Ihave unicorn 2009 vibrant sports version (red model). Now, I guess my brake pads are worn out, and just 4 months ago, i have got my brake oil refilled. and now, im getting this screeching noise.
And yes, the pads have becomne very thin. I have removed the whole assembly at the wheel to remove the pads. now i want to replace the pads. I have seen the pads, .i can feel the metal . is it ok if we can see the metal out of the pads?
If i want to change the pads, what will be the procedure? anyone can help me plz?

Replace the pads, it just costs 350 at ASC, any local Mech can do it for you.Originally posted by vaddadi.pa1 View PostIhave unicorn 2009 vibrant sports version (red model). Re: UNICORN's disc brake screeching noise
the thing is , I have removed the assembly. and pressed the brake lever. now the pressure applying things( those hollow cylinders) aren't going back. I have removed the oil through bleeding nut also. but they aren't going back . so there is no clearance to fit the assembly back on the disc (between the pads. they are touching each other). so what would be the problem?

Re: UNICORN's disc brake screeching noise
You didn't need to remove oil, now u have to replace that too, grease the cylinders and push them back in, check the DIY thread for instructions.Originally posted by vaddadi.pa1 View Postthe thing is , I have removed the assembly. and pressed the brake lever. now the pressure applying things( those hollow cylinders) aren't going back. Re: UNICORN's disc brake screeching noise
Better open them up again and grease them for better braking and to prevent jamming due to rust.Originally posted by vaddadi.pa1 View Postya, I removed the oil with that doubt only! Need help with fork gasket change
Hi... I own a Honda unicorn 1.5YEARS old and now it's fork got oil leaking problem. Please get me an overview of the costs of parts and labor charges to get it back to work.. The leaking problem started some weeks ago and it has already lost lot of oil. Will it affect handling?? Also be kind to point out if after market forks like race tech will fit unicorn. I always wanted to convert it to a USD fork. PRO 's and cons are welcome. Thank you.

Re: Need help with fork gasket change
Not a big issue, all you have to do is change the oil and oil seals, the 2 tiny oil seals at asc cost 350+ rupees, but I bought pulsar 150 fork oil seals from local shop(brand name is 'ASK') for 45 bucks, that was 2 years back and still no issue. Fork oil buy Motul 20w costs around 100 bucks and labor bill be about 150-200 bucks. Stick with stock forks, I've met with 2 head on accidents where I crashed the front end of my bike and my fork hasn't bent even slightly.Originally posted by X-hawk View PostHi...
