If you want used then use sites like olx or quikr, used bike showrooms tamper with the meter reading and i don't think there is any sincere showroom. Find a bike you like on a classified site and get it checked by a mech before you buy.

Second to what he said about the chain sprocket set and steering cone set. The Keihin carb in Unicorn should be cleaned at the Honda service centre IMO, its a costly piece of equipment and you can easily damage the delicate rubber diaphgram while fiddling around with it.

Is any unicorn owner running on tubeless tyres, on stock rims? If yes pls specify which tyres are being used.
          Any issue,while repairing punctures?

Tube type tyres with Honda's tuff up tubes are better than tubeless.

The bike will give low mileage in the beginning as the tappets are set loose, carb is set rich and bore is tight. After about 1000-1500 km you should be getting proper mileage.

                  Hi..

Got Red hot Honda Trigger delivered two days ago.
I am posting in Unicorn thread because, I want to inform you that I got Petrol Tap lock for my bike from the dealer itself.
I saw few people in this thread who were looking for the same.

                    Thank you.

                    Yes. You are correct.

Tappets were adjusted. Now I get 56 KMPL. Reserve to Reserve, bike ran for 225 Km for 3.97 litres of Petrol.

NO hard acclerations. Max Speed reached was less than 55.

                      Hi All,

Once again Thank you all for guiding us through this and this really really helps a lot.

My Honda unicorn is 2.6 years old and completed around 28K in odo meter. Now I feels like my Unicorn is making extra noise and I feel it struggles a lot to breath and the top speed got reduced to 90-95(with high RPM) KMPH from 110-115 KMPH. I just spoke to a local mechanic whom I used to give my bike for regular service has suggested me to change the clutch plates and the bike will be OK.

                      My question is :

Is clutch plates is actually causing this problem ?
will clutch warn out in 28 K ?
how much it will cost (clutch plates) ?
I heard that the clutch plates like cbr or pulsar will give me some more power and top speed to my unicorn ? is that true ? If yes which clutch plate would be much suitable for Unicorn.

                      Please suggest my guys.

                      Ride safe and ride everywhere

                      Thanks

Yup, these are common signs of clutch wear. 28k is not bad for clutch life but some last more than twice that distance. It depends a lot on how much you use your clutch. A person that has to ride in bumper to bumper traffic will use the clutch a lot more than someone riding mostly on the highways. Also you might want to get the spark plug checked for fouling. Even a bad plug can cause these same problems. I think plate change will cost somewhere around the 1000rs range although I am not sure. My bike is at 16k km and no problems yet

I don't use clutch often as i ride in night times more, but my mechanic suggesting me to change the clutch plates with the symptoms that i see.

                          1.Its top speed got reduced.
                          2.struggles to touch 90 to 100 and not crossing 102 +.
                          3. Even at 50-60 KMPH its looks like the bikes struggles to breath and the noise has increased gradually.

                          Advices are appreciated.

                          Thanks Guys,

Do you mean that when you try to accelerate, the bike feels like it is going into reserve? If that iswhat you are feeling , there might be something wrong with the air-fuel mixture. First check and see if your air filter is clean. If that is clean, your carb might be blocked with unwanted particle build up. Did you leave your bike unused for a period of time? Petrol goes bad quickly and may cause deposits in the carb. Have you ever gotten your carb cleaned ? Mine was cleaned at 9k km at the ASC. Cost me only 130 Rs. A simple test to see if your if your clutchplates are worn is by trying to accelerate. If the rpm rises quickly, but the speed of the vehicle doesn't, that is a sure sign that the clutch is going. Also try riding your bike on an uphill incline. If the rpm rises a lot more than what you were expecting, it is a problem with the clutch

                              hello,
I have bought new cb unicorn and done 7k km. I take care of bike a lot. but there is problem of top speed. I tested that it hardly reaches speed of 75 and can not go above 80 ever. it begs me to not push beyond 75. I checked that at 75 speed rpm is 6k. It can’t be pushed any further. Please guide what could be wrong ? Is it lean carburator setting ? can I fix it myself ?

Are you using the fifth gear also? Your problem sounds like you're only going up to fourth. Else , there's a mechanical fault....
