Re: hi friends waiting for a reply
Zapper y has the worst grip in the zapper series, you can go for mrf meteor which im currently using, its got great grip and stability, or you can also go for zapper c. For front get the zapper fv which is the best tyre but very very difficult to find one, or go for the stock zapper fs.Originally posted by fayad555 View Post

Re: hi friends waiting for a reply
thanks guys, i was really looking to buy the zapper q as i heard good reviews about them. If I'm able to source them, I might even go for it.
thanks.. have you checked out michelin sirac? how'd you compare grip of meteor to any other tyres you've used?Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostZapper y has the worst grip in the zapper series, you can go for mrf meteor which im currently using, its got great grip and stability, or you can also go for zapper c. regarding front tyre, i will check if zapper fv is available. Do you have any other suggestions?

I am using the same in my unicorn from last 3-4 months without any issue.
Zapper Y are one of the worst tyres I've seen. I'll never go for it again. And 110section tyres is not going to kill the engine. It might put some load on the sprockets-chain, not a big deal, should be manageable if everything is kept in top condition.Originally posted by bykrider View PostI am, using Zapper Q 100/90
Please do not go for zapper Q it is very bad tyre, skids like hell in wet & on gravel.
Please buy OEM recommended Zapper Y 100/90 only it is the best one.
Do not go for 110 section it will kill your engine.tђє รเlєภt รt๏г๓

The new sirac is supposed to be manufactured by tvs tyres and has terrible grip, ive seen many bad reviews mostly from the karizma thread so better to avoid that tyre.Originally posted by fayad555 View Postthanks guys, i was really looking to buy the zapper q as i heard good reviews about them. Re: hi friends waiting for a reply
Sirac Street is a very good tire with good grip. You can experience it in braking.
When we rode uphill Sirac Street never slipped or spinned where as zapper y on cbz spinned.
Mileage dropped by 3kms.
MRF Meteor is heavier than Michelin Sirac Street in weight.
My tire was 1.5 years old. Don't know about the new batch made by TVS

Re: hi friends waiting for a reply
Hi guys, the honda unicorn has net power of 13.3 BHP @ 8000 RPM and max torque at 1.3KG-m at 5500 RPM . AT what RPM should i be shifting to get max acceleration ? Me and my friend are comparing 0-60 Times of the 2013 CB uni and the 2013 FZ-16. Does the unicorn stand a chance against the FZ ? He got the fz in september and wont stop boasting about how his fz will do 0-60 in just 4 secs.. is it true BTW ?Last edited by windrider007; 02-22-2014, 08:17 PM.

Take it to the max rpm it can go at each gear to get fastest accelerationOriginally posted by windrider007 View PostHi guys, the honda unicorn has net power of 13.3 BHP @ 8000 RPM and max torque at 1.3KG-m at 5500 RPM . Re: hi friends waiting for a reply
keep it around 4k to 7-7.5k rpm.. maximum torque is at 5.5k so you'll get max rush of power around this rpm. ride safeOriginally posted by windrider007 View PostHi guys, the honda unicorn has net power of 13.3 BHP @ 8000 RPM and max torque at 1.3KG-m at 5500 RPM . 42kmpl is too low for Unicorn.

Sirac is a heavy tyre, maybe even heavier than mrf meteorOriginally posted by sandeepcf View PostMine is 2005 Unicorn with 3.00-18 tyre and was getting 51kmpl (city riding) and After I changed to Sirac Street 100/90 my mileage is 48kmpl.

Re: hi friends waiting for a reply
Sirac is definitely lighter than Meteor. I lifted the two tires with my hands and decided to go with Sirac. Also the rubber on Sirac is slightly softer than MRF MoGrip series.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostSirac is a heavy tyre, maybe even heavier than mrf meteor

Re: Honda Unicorn
Sirac Street is a offroad tarmac dual terrain runner. It's block button keeps handling steady while off the tarmac. It performs average in wet conditions but I don't have any complaints when run on tarmac. You might want to try Ceat Zoom for the rear as I heard it offers good grip both tarmac and wet conditions. For the front wheel, Mrf zapper fs will do the job. Fyi..only after 100-150 kms you'll notice the grip level of the new tyres.
