Re: Honda Unicorn
the problem is I don't know any competent mech, rammed the bike at 60 on to rear door of a dzire (the guy from standstill just moved a few feet ahead right into my path), not sure about the extent of damage (whether lathe is required or not), hence doing it at ASC.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View Post2200 is too high, buy the required parts from ASC and get it done from a good local mech. I donno bout insurance, never claimed and don't even have insurance right now.

Re: Honda Unicorn
I've rammed into oncoming vehicle twice at 60 speed and no damage at all, check if ur fork feels straight, if you don't notice anything then just replace coneset, oil and T. Replace the fork seals also since ur opening the fork, its not necessary but better do it off. The seals cost about 350 bucks at ASC but I've been using seals of pulsar 150(brand name-ASK) without any problem since 2 years, costs 90 bucks.Originally posted by ranechinmay View Postthe problem is I don't know any competent mech, rammed the bike at 60 on to rear door of a dzire (the guy from standstill just moved a few feet ahead right into my path), not sure about the extent of damage (whether lathe is required or not), hence doing it at ASC.

Sent from my w650 using Tapatalkso my concern is with the highlighted areas the joint where the saree gaurd and the rear footsets join and the gap which would be there in the silver unicorn's smaller circle if replaced with hunk rear foot sets...
so how can I overcome these...
hope you can help me...
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
to be more precise I'm higlighting my concern in pics u posted itself
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
wil hero impulse's brake pedal be suitable or will it atleast fit easily without modifying the rear footsets and even some help on alternate handlebars..
I want somthing lower than the standard handlebars but it should not affect the tank or end up frying the clutch...
so can u please help me out on these...
Thanks in advance mate..

Re: Honda Unicorn
The smaller circle area will be open, there is nothing you can do about that, the guy in the picture and other people too have used a fiber piece to cover the gap. Saree guard can also be used, but I'm not sure if its the stock uni saree guard, the pic below is a unicorn with karizma zma footsets and the guard might be karizmas too.Originally posted by Siddharth Krishna View Post so my concern is with the highlighted areas the joint where the saree gaurd and the rear footsets join and the gap which would be there in the silver unicorn's smaller circle if replaced with hunk rear foot sets...

Re: Honda Unicorn
AFAIK the new uni can take upto 110/90 size tyre with chain guard and 120/90 without chain guard. Handle bar you can use Yamaha fz handle barOriginally posted by Siddharth Krishna View Postthank you very much for your help..

And about impulse brake pedal, no you can't use those, the only direct fit ones are from hunk and karizma.

fz handle bars are they direct fit I mean all the cables too....
brake and clutch cables?
will they not hit the tank?
do they need any kind of modification to increase the height of handle bars so that it would not collide with tank...
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
can the exhaust of honda cb trigger fit unicorn's?

Re: Honda Unicorn
Well as you can clearly see from the images, they have not heightened the handlebar so its clearly a direct fit.Originally posted by Siddharth Krishna View Postthank you very much for your help..

Here are 2 more pics of a unicorn with fz handlebar, but the owner has heightened the handle bar probably for more comfortable position, and he's installed fz headlight too.

I had saved all these images when I had done research online for the same, I suggest you do the same and share anything new here if you find anything, it would help the other members too :-)
