    That's probably coz when your bike is left off overnight the battery is losing its charge and when u ride to the service center it recharges and the self start works, get your battery checked.

      Thanks a lot!!!!But other things like Headlight,horn etc. are working properly.........

        Headlight doesn't use the battery, unless u use pass light. Horn doesn't use as much power as required by self start.

              didn't tried on unicorn so far but it didn't work for Pulsar 150cc bikes prior

                Unicorns headlight works without battery, even the pass light works if the rpm is above 3k.

                  Quiet informative, didn;t knew it was possible.

                  Anyhow in that case Unicorns can easily take a Philips 60v+ or even more HD and a Bosh/Hella horn then can work on stock battery provided there is relay? Do you have any recommendations .

                    AFAIK the AC current in unicorn supply's only 35w to headlight so a 60w bulb is useless, 60w will only be supplied if u use pass light which takes DC from battery, about horn I'm not sure .

                      60W you need to try it out, but for a 55W bulb, it definitely will work without any mods for the bike. . . Last time I went to the wiring guy for coil rewinding, he advised me on this. . . About horn, same here don't know but I think it should support . . .

                        OK thanks guys. Btw anyone having trouble going above 90km/hr. Recently I tried doing something which I rarely do ie: on a empty straight road I tried to drag (race). But I noticed that it went to 90km/hr but after that it just wouldn't go above that

                        What could be wrong, I don't think that''s its max speed is it

                          How much has your bike run? The max ive touched is 110kmph riding with a pilion on Bangalore- mysore highway, it could go faster but since it was my first time going 100+ i hesitated.

                            Get your carb cleaned and also check with the diaphragm. . . The maximum I have touched on my Unicorn is 120 kph after doing some minor tweaks by my mechanic . . . He said he can make my Unicorn to touch up until 135 kph and that's the last, . .

                                OK I just replaced my full clutch housing for approx 3000 bucks and some lubrication done. Dammed it doesn't get covered under warranty

                                Seems to be much smoother now. I'll try to get the max speed if I find an empty stretch road

                                --Do you'll change the oil filter on each oil change? I'm using Honda's engine oil viz: Rs.250 so when should I change the oil after 2000kM? Which engine oil are you'll using presently?

                                --Reviews on Motul's 10w40 300V FS oil?
