        but the sales of this bike is beaten by our splendour
        so hero honda is currently largest manufacturer
        but considering the 52% shares of honda in hh , honda is unbeatably the largest engine manufacturer in d world.
        but still i don't understand why honda is just following other brands.
        like when all the bikes in 150cc had alloys (unicorn is the last bike to have alloys even after discover)
        unicorn is again the last to have black coated engine
        still would be the last one to have digital console and led tail lamps
        honda must let others follow its standards
        but i think nobody can actually follow honda technology cause its much of an impossible job to do as it is to do cosmetic changes
        The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
        So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
        And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

          I had a strange problem today, 2nd gear while descending a slope engine shut down automatically and kick-start became free, however it started after 2 minutes with both self and kick, what seems to be the reason for kick becoming free??
          Please advice me as service is due this week!!

            Manishh also had the same prob. No compression, though his is permanent. Go through his posts and see if u could get some pointers.

              > Honda Cub cummulative sales worldwide has crossed 60 millions (6 crores)
              > HH sold cummulative 20 millions (2 crores) in 2008 (all bikes of HH)
              > HH took 20 years to complete 10 million sales (i.e in 2004), the next 10 millions sales came in just 4 years (b/w 2004 and 2008) !!

                  i pressume at that time ur engine lost compression.probably one of the valves might have got stuck momentarily.

                        google it ,you will find more then 4 variants upto 90cc

                            try to ride ur bike a little more,take her to the redline and do some test runs,some times such problems will correct them selves,then if it does not happen again give it to servicing...or else follow the below procedure so that u wont miss any thing as u will be opening the head..
                            check the spark plug,the petrol tank for any impurities and the clean the caburrator..
                            then get to the head,check/inspect the timing chain,the chain tentioner and also the cam shaft..then if every thing is ok,open the head and check the valves,see if they r sitting back properly after closing if not u'll have to change the valves and get new ones....then do the wall mapping before which just get rid of the carbon on the head,both by using some machines available in the engg shops and don't do any polishing and stuff...then check if every thing is k or not... if not then u'll have to open the engine...
