    • This happened this weekend.

After parking my bike in front of my house, i went upstairs. and when i returned after 2-3 hours, to my surprise the Headlight was hanging. checked it.
Headlight fairing gone. Although could not see any scratch any where. Also checked the frame on which faileing is supposed to be connected, It was broken to at 3 places. Only one small joing was holding up the frame.

Went to CBZ in patparganj. they did not have the stock. hence went to Honda service station nearby. Got the fairing and frame for total : 720/-.
I asked them to fit the fairing and frame, and they bluntly told me to leave my bike there and pick it up next day. When i told them that they only need to fix the stuff and nothing else is required(Thinking they may be thinking about servicing as well). They said whatever, and i have to leave my bike there for a day. i knew the complete job will take hardly 30 minutes. Hence after shouting at them badly i went back to CBZ and they fixed the stuff in no time. But charged 150 for it. 75 for fairing and 75 for frame.(disgusting)

And now my bike is back to it's original beauty but i'm afraid to keep it away from me anymore.

At the end realised that Honda service stations are good for nothing.

        • my uni's chain and sprocket is now gone , chain keeps getting loose even after removing 1 link from chain, so which chain set suit the best apart from uni's oem part.

can i fit fz16's chain set as it is exposed & i keep uni's chain naked too!

          • even i am quite frustrated wid uni's chain slack
Does lubricating the chain with an sae 80 or 90 or sae 80w90 gear oil is beneficial ?
Can't experiment on this as the minimum quantity of 1 liter of an sae 80w gear oil is costing Rs.900 . It is the recommended grade in the honda manual for chain lubrication .
If the gear oil lubrication is worth it , den even i wud try it . . . .
            anyone any comments or xperience . . . . .?
The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

after the wear of chain joints lubrication wont help much as there is more space[play] betn them now .

                • You will get SAE 90 from BPCL or even other major brands for even lesser than that... and equally good if not better.

recently i inspected the air filter
There are a bit circular kind of spots
I have heard it is the bad signs of engine
                          Something called engine backpressure(decompression) fault
                          Any idea anybody ?

                          • hey guys been a long time since i am looking for a comfort bike...
what better than unicorn but still i dont know a lot of things about it

i wanted to ask something about unicorn!!
how does it perform in bad roads or pot hole , rocky roads ... i mean off roading
could you tell something about the off roading capabilities of the unicorn

although i heard about its handling capabilities ....
in 150 cc .... where would you rate unicorn in this aspect

also in terms of comfort where would you see it .... in 150 cc bikes

does the newer version of uni have a good headlight ( well atleast decent enough )
                            and good horns
i saw a new uni wid loud horns... may be he has put dual ones
or its a fact that newer version have loud horns ??

please pardon my ignorance of lack of knowledge but i wanna have concrete info because once i buy this bike ... i dont know for how many years will have to keep it !!!
                            hope you understand

also if you can add any more info which you think i should know please pass it on....
trust me it will help me a lot

                            yeah most imp addition :

                            • OK here are the answers for your questions:-

1.>how does it perform in bad roads or pot hole , rocky roads ... i mean off roading
could you tell something about the off roading capabilities of the unicorn
Ans: Perfectly stable. one of the best in 150cc's in this regard.

2.>although i heard about its handling capabilities ....
in 150 cc .... where would you rate unicorn in this aspect
Ans: On Top. Handling is simply superb. very stable and extremly good straight line handling. Great on ghats and highways.

3.>also in terms of comfort where would you see it .... in 150 cc bikes
Ans: One of the best in comfort. I've been doing 500+ km touring every alternate weekend. And it never makes me feel tired.

4.>does the newer version of uni have a good headlight ( well atleast decent enough )
                              and good horns
i saw a new uni wid loud horns... may be he has put dual ones

Ans: Headlight is decent. Not that great but workable. New uni has definatly better Horns then the old one's/

5.>i dont know for how many years will have to keep it !!!
                              hope you understand
Ans: I do understand buddy. I'm riding the first gen Uni (actually it was the second unicorn launched in UP) and still in love with it. And in no way i'm going to part my way with her. EVER/

I think this was enough but if you need to any thing extra, simply PM me.
