i told b'coz u were nt right in between of dis thread
n if its showing 105@8000 den either u hv a rich air fuel mixture or a gud speedo error of 4km/hr or may be urs is masterpieceThe Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

,cause that is what is mentioned there,101 top speed...or may be ur bike has gone topsy turvy and giving u a 101 top speed

although i stick 2 my definition of top speed

what wud u say for company declaring it 101 km/hr as max. speed

in a short distance my unicorn did a 109kph on the speedgun(speedo showing 118kph) in a recent speedcheck,then on the way back did exact 130kph(speedo) continuosly for more than 1.5kms...going by the company claims then unicorn mileage is 60kmpl and 0 to 60 in 5secs which can never be achieved..in the same way this is other way round.

Well acc to manual only we have two top speed of unicorn 1st is the one u quoted and 2 nd is the one which we get after upgrading the spark plug to cpr9ea-9 i.e. 110 kmph or extended high speed ..
imo company quotes specification which they supply to masses and as stock and they supply cpr8ea-9 as stock spark plug which is capable of 101 kmph only !!
so fopr ur testing dont use any other spark plug , use only the one which is came with stock uni it is as i mentioned b4 cpr8ea-9 .. fit that and then test that out!

spark plug sufficiently worn(for beginning 400 kms)
choked air filter (" " " " )
i m gettin a mileage of 50+ kmpl (60% city riding)(604kms/12litres)
a proper commuter cn get a mileage of 60+ nd i cn bet on it.
9ea-9 suks on my uni ( it shows lazyness in going frm 95-100 kmph) most probably its speedo naughtyness coz i cn still feel d acceleration.bt i things 4 sure 9ea-9 is no way better den 8ea-9 under "normally xtreme" riding conditions. for ur 0-100 thingy i would like to tell u that there is smthin called torque curve .. uni has stronger low end [12.8 Nm @ 5500 rpm] thats why u reach 0-80 in 10 sec but need another 8 sec for +20kmph.

i told earlier also in dis thread , acceleration increases in top end after d engine has attained its max. torque bt even wid my throttle full open , d tacho needle was hitting back frm 100-95 den again 2 100 den back 2 95 periodically wid a time-period of .5 seconds , i thnk d needle is jammed at dat point

i will bet my money on that...i have been using my uni since 3yrs and have ridden 60k kms...never in its life time returned more than 51kmpl and its avg is 44kmpl consistent...
please dont try to prove things which are mentioned in the manual,try it for ur self and post wat has been achieved....
cpr 8ea-9 spark plug can do more than 101kmph..u think jus one spark plug makes such a big diff....
cpr 9ea-9 jus has a bettr heat range which provides better ignition under continuous high speed riding...
