i mean some people say its just show and works only when u have a pillion
for a single rider,,,,, its not so good ,,,, very bumpy
and also its not good on bumpy roads,,,, and off road ,,, is it true??
so please elaborate on this ,,,, its a request
sorry mavs ,,,,, if u see it ,,, but had to take others opinion also
The weights on the handle-bar is a new addition in 4th Gen and it helps reducing the vibrations to a great extent... Regarding the monosusp, not sure if there are any improvements in the 4G, but mono is a great thing on the Uni, its mostly bcz of this, the bike's got amazing road-grip / handling while cornering and i'd say its effortless @ corners... Its not that the susp will work only with a pilion, doesnt work on bumpy roads etc... The best part abt mono is that you can adjust the level urself if you feel its bumpy... With a single twist you can make it smooth / hard based on the riding conditions... Trust me, Uni's like sofa on wheels and at times i feel as if am riding a bicycle , abs no vibes of any sort, ek dum makkhan

      • handle bar weights are more cosmetic than anything else. try twisting them off, nothing more than hollow pastic.

\rant on\ the milage has been improved, but that's only to allow the service center to siphon of more pertrol from the bike when you give it for servicing. \rant off\

          • I got those bar-end weights fixed onto my first gen Uni. Mariod's right in the sense that the weights are actually made of plastic and are extremely light.
I too doubt their effectiveness as i saw that my Zma's end-weights are made of metal and are actually 'weights' and not 'flyyweights' like the ones on the Uni.

Whatever be the case, im of the sincere opinion that the Uni doesn't need the weights. The bars never get buzzy

            P.S: The end-weights cost 10/- a piece. Dirt cheap !

I believe that a good vehicle must be given its due and of late on xBhp, every new member seems to start preaching on a bikes capabilities etc purely from hearsay.

I just try to do my bit to contribute intellectually to the discussions in the forum and correct the rumour mongers POV as and when possible.

                Cheers !

                  • Has anybody fitted a side-box luggage carrier, as that shown on the Studds Website on their unicorn.

Is it a direct fit ? Or do you need any additional clamps to hold it in place ?

oh man.. that's really bad. Your's was one good looking and well maintained Unicorn. Shayad G2G mein kisi ka nazar lag gaya...

You would have to replace the tail piece and the two side panels also based on the extent of damage. Sometimes the damage is small but the clips of the panels would be broken. Even then no use using the panels as they vibrate and irritate you with noises.
