jus removed my bikes head out of curiosity dint know wat to do or how some how googled and got some info abt polishing and polished it very fine,tats the ports(inlet and outlet) almost like 10hrs..and running on a xtreme camshaft,bore kit is new with exact clearance...also little bit of weight reduction here and there...

dont decarbonize head, its not required on 4stroke bikes,it plays a prominent role in bumping up compression inturn directly linked with power,as u have already done dont do this in the future...

ya,i know abt the comression and took care just to remove and not scrape of any more stuff from the head...
made it as good as new....
i did it mainly as my bike topped 47k and the engine was not opeaned until now...i opeaned it as there was this irritating sound that u get from the old cars (kkkkrrrr) coming from the engine...
after the job was done there are no sounds coming how ever i ride it...
my baby got its peace back

and by the way,after putting the extremes,did u notice any diff???
cause there was this thread (a real big one) abt some one trying to do the same thing and why it did not suite the uni,how he tried and wasted his money etc etc....
my engine is still intact..haven't even touched the clutchplates until now...
touched 122~123 (speedo) before i did this job...

Hi Im a new xbhpian. Im gonna get a new Unicorn this week (as salesmen promised me in a showroom in Hyd), I request you to please tell the care and tips to be taken after getting the bike, i.e At what speed the bike is to be driven, what engine oil is to be used after first service, etc

also suggest me about how is the bike to be handled initially, as i have a confusion b/w Engine Break In techniques (either to stick to user manual and ride at below 50kmph or ride at higher speed).

I use the bike for atlest 40 - 50km a day, so pls tell the care I should take.

my fourth service is on due on 20 march !!! till now clocked 2300 kms !! till due date maybe i will clock more 50 kms !! what should i check in service ??? should i change spark plug ??

i am getting 42 kms per litre avg !! i want to increase my mileage !! i ride between 40 to 60 most of the time !!!
last service i clocked only 1800 kms so mileage will not increase now the service guy told !! i want to know when our bike gives mileage 50 and above !! i ride mostly in city and there is not that much traffic !! i was very much careful in run in period !! pls help me guys !!!

No need to change anything but the engine oil... go ahead!

BTW, if u run in a lot of stop and go or do short runs your mileage drops. Mileage differs between many short runs and few long runs.

Another Unicorn owner on his way...

Booked on after major contemplation on figures such as power, mileage, cost, top speeds, styling etc etc...

But at the end of the day zeroed down on the Unicorn. My younger brother has one from the very first lot of Unicorns to hit the markets and no issues ever since..

Recently rode down to Masinagudi, Ooty and Coimbatore and back on the bike and as always pleased with everything about the bike.. And I guess the final point of decision was this ride. No aches and pains, no problems with the bike what so ever, brilliant for the Highway with comfortable cruising speeds of 80-90kmph.

So last week booked a Unicorn with the hope I would get one in a day or two, but to my luck I have to wait till end of the month to get delivery.

Black is the hottest and fastest selling colour with the Unicorn (even the silver is great, which by the way is availabe off the shelf like 'black with red' and 'red with black', but the black looks so hot anyday..) so worth the wait I would have to say.

Planning a Kanyakumari run to run in the bike. Any takers??
