Just to put some light to this topic . We are discussing this because one of our friends who has a Uni is using the 3 M oil along with Castrol + on his Honda Uni & according to him its performing well . ( @ arjunb25 is using this combination )

Now when i checked the oil is not meant for bikes , they are only for Cars . Now lets know from arjunb25 if he was advised by any mechanic to use this oil or he has done it with some friends advice and if its really worth using it .
Id read his post concerning the nulon additive.
He appears to be one of the lucky few people who seem to attribute engine smoothness to an additive rather than just fresh engine oil.

When the engine oil is changed, im sure everyone's felt the bike being a lot smoother and free revving (placebo ?). This fact can easily be confused to be a benefit of any damn additive used...

    • I was really shocked to see a company like 3M stooping so low as to market oil additives! Now I don't feel confident about any 3M product...

      Disgusting...

Well in one word ... "Stiffness" . Depending on the road you drive .

                        Good smooth road - Soft

Lot of Potholes and good combined - Medium

No roads , Rocky - Hard

Regarding the control while riding , these settings are tested and found to be the best .

i think medium would be good for him as i was living in mumbai before coming to vasai last year !!! mumbai roads are half good and half bad !! specially sakinaka, chakala area due to metro construction !!!! bmc have literally made it kaccha road !!!! dont no about malad ...been less there !!! one prob in malad i know is traffic at malad !! phew !!

Here's my feedback..i've tried both hard and soft settings. Hard setting is a boon for twisties and high speed manouvers, but hurts alot in slow moving traffic, hence only recommended for track use, whereas Soft setting is great for city-driving but too wooly in corners and hence dangerous for twisty curvy roads. Medium setting is the best overall compromise .

                            Hi bro

Good to hear feedback from some one who has already tried the settings .Well for me I just use the soft as i have not gone beyond city roads as yet and in Coimbatore i don't have good roads . Once i plan to ride out will switch to medium . Thanks for sharing your experience .

If ur driving solo then soft is the best option. If u have a pillion then medium wud be best, hard if the pillion is heavy or if ur pulling motogps at every signal.

Ha ha .. Good one , but unfortunate that Coimbatore road signals are too tuff to pull moto Gp . Too many bikes spoil the mood . So i stick with soft
