Nice to know that the machine is doing good so far . Will also check if i can change the oil and add some additives as my oil change is due . I have just crossed my second service and had been to a trip to the ghats . The bike seems to be slower that usual . Takes long time to reach 100 mark . Till 80 km/h its ok after that takes some time .Any idea .... Milage also seems to have dropped to 45 Km/l which is a bad sign . Help needed ???
Well dear asking the wrong guy for reaching the top speed well my riding goes like
40 km/hr. @ 3000rpm and i am getting 51.4 average. Well like to go slow.
The engineer saw my bike they came from pune. Well they asked me (kitna time ho gaya hai bike ko). I replied well it is going to be 2 years. Well they said no! your bike looks like brand new just came out from the showroom. Well first of all she is a single hand baby, then the bike is serviced from time to time. especially for the engine oil. I am very very very strict for it.

Rest is cool yeah u try out that addictive of 3m engine oil Plus (thats the name of the product). Well I will be waiting for the comments from your end.
    till then bye.

I got my Unicorn last week on Friday from Sterling Honda in Pune(PCMC). The service schedule stapled on the manual stated all 4 free services to be completed by September 09. Is the service schedule this tight for Honda Unicorn? or is the dealer taking me for a ride.

I won't be riding the bike that much to complete the kilometers mentioned. But can someone else also post the service schedule for the Unicorn for first 2 years (warranty period).

      Thanks
      Saurabh

Try the Honda Engine oil and please trust me on this. If u doubt what the service center uses, buy it from outside and carry with you. Else try the Yamalube.

Try any - Motul 3000V / elf Moto 4 Gold / Veedol Super swift. They are the best for uni as per my experience.

                  • Well the Honda is the only company which is very very strict about the bike getting serviced in time. Well as fare as you are conc.. or anyone else it is the best thing is to go through the book (manual) which u had got with your bike. Well in that they have clearly mentioned on which date and during which period your bike should be serviced and always maintain that record. I have done the same.

                    • Yea you are right. 4 services across 210 days. That's a little too quick. I don't ride that much so will not run the kms, but will still get it serviced though.

What about paid service? Do we need to maintain the mentioned paid service schedule (which is like once every two months) to keep the bike in warranty?

                            • that indicates an overfill...

but then, it looks like you did not wipe the stick and then measure. did you?

If you wiped the stick, did you turn the screw tight and check? Most bikes need you to check just with placing the stick on top of the thread without turning it in... please check the owner's manual.

the manual suggests not to screw in the dipstick.Just place the dipstick without screwing it on
