SAE denotes grade of the oil. SAE 20W50 - "W" indicates "winter"(also cold mornings). Simply put, for engines that tend to get very hot (like the 180) the oil with value "50" will ensure good lubrication even at very high temperatures, than a value "40"; and "20W" will ensure that even at outside temperatures of -10C, the oil will provide enough lubrication so as to not harm the engine, especially when you try to start them in extremely cold climates. "20W" & "50" is called the viscosity index or grade. The winter grades of 10W, 15W and 20W are determined by the oil's viscosity at 0 Fahrenheit (-18 C), while 30, 40 & 50 are determined by the viscosity at 212 Fahrenheit (100 C). The higher the viscosity index, the less oil will thin at a specified temperature. Only in the case of fully synthetic oils, this grading is not very important since these oils by default have very high tolerances to heat and cold.
i thing motul is easily available and better !!
