    • 1500rpm (all-weather) works perfectly fine with me, helps to win Signal-motogp's too

      • To all you jokers !
1200-1300 rpm (cold) equates to 1400-1500 revs when the engine reaches optimum running temperature

          • TOP Spped MYTH

GUYz I have a New Uni 4th generation model. Even i have experienced that the new uni is not as fast as the 3rd gen. cause my bike has topped 116 max tht to on a downward slope and i was at full throttle . Meanwhile my friend on his 3rd gen Uni easily crosses 120 i think his bike speeds 124 or 125 max. Let me add tht he does not use the stock types but he uses a wider one I am nt sure abt the make. So basically it may top 126 or a bit more if he used the stock ones. However, I pretty sure tht the new unis are more mileage friendly.

P.S. This is not a guess I am speaking out of experience as my whole grup has UNIZ.

            • BTW in my profile avatar you can see the bike I was referring it is the same 3rd gen uni tht clocks 125 top.

heard the new gen uni not only give better mileage but also ...... it has more refined engine ,,, dont know how much !!!! also there is improvement in the monosusp ... anyone would take this improvements instead of just some petty 10 kmph more speeds
Hope is a good thing ,

                • 4th gen uni...

I could remember on the date of purchasing 4th gen uni i asked the Honda's engineer " whether this is just another cosmetic upgrade or some changes have been made to engine also.....he said well engine has been tuned for better top revies(RPM) ,Gear ratios has been altered for better accleartion..rest of things i couldnt understand was tooooo technical in nature"

If you guys are so sure that 1st gen uni were better in performance so no doubt they will be.....but i still love my uni from core of my heart

The best mileage i have got till now was 68kmpl...
that include 40km of highway driving at speeds around 60-70km
and 28 km of city driving speeds between 0-60km

whats your best mileage you have ever got?????

This is personal opninon..........1st gen uni's were more silent in comparsion with 4th gen uni's....smoothness of the engine is not as 1st gen uni but still better than Hunk and x-treme ...yes vibrations have been reduced ...4th gen uni's are more revy sort of engine which always urge you to twist the throttle..and yes regarding suspensing front forks are strenghten monosuspension is as good as always (sofa to me on bumpy raods)

                    • Honda is known to change the internals for the better and do that silently. You never know.

U seem to be contradicting your own statement ... For once you say 1st gen is more smoother than 4th gen, at the same time you say vibrations have been reduced... Can you please make it more clear !!!

By silent i meant = the engine sound , smoothness = gear shifting ,
vibrations = vibes at foot pegs and in handle (i found them more in 1st gen uni)..thats it...

when i test rode my bike friend (1st gen uni) it was having tiny vibration in the handlebar and footpegs at speed of 80 kmhr ...which wasnt present in my bike (4th gen uni)..thast all...

with on offense to RTR i am talking about tiny vibes not shivers ....RTR does vibrate too much...
