One of my friend installed Pipercross filter after two services on his R15v2.0. Is his warranty void now? or its ok?
What are the side effects of installing an aftermarket filter in R15 (except the mileage)?Yamaha RX135 (1998) - Stolen

brother, today i measured that i do front brake 65% and rest with rearOriginally posted by Ron Syl View Postlol. so if engine braking puts pressure on engine does it mean that accelerating will not put pressure on the engine? What do you think engine braking actually is? i would like to know. do not be confused with word "braking" there.
and about the highlighted part, when do you usually use this technique? there are various situations where the Braking can differ. panic braking, normal conditions where you dont have to apply too much brakes, wet conditions, muddy roads where chances are that you might skid, sometimes you will have to brake while turning. etc etc.
i rarely do engine braking
Engine braking according to me is,
for eg, if i am at speed of 80 on sixth gear
press clutch, move to 5th gear
and without accelerating leave the clutch the bike become slow.
this is what engine braking is to me and that is what i rarely do.

4th servicing done on saturday . Engine Oil front brake pads changed. Total cost 1095/- (505+430+160) 160/- buck s for the brakes overhaul. Also got the rear brake peg adjusted a little bit lower. Excellent job done by the svc I must say. Also air filter was insanely dirty. can feel the difference in the ride. The front break pads had no asbestos material left on them :P totally worn out. Had the rear disc pads brushed and cleaned too. didnt opt for the chain cleaning and lubing as I do it regularly at home.
On another note had the headlights changed to osrams 35W 4300K and white LED's for pilot lamps. Low beam is okay. Switch on the high beam and bang, you get a good light spread better than the stock. Moreover the headlights are not exactly the white ones which are killer to look at but a soothing 'sunlight' color temp as they say. i think nastro has also plonked these same bulbs..
Keep Calm and Kaam se Kaam
To all those how-to-run-in-the-bike-oh-it's-so-confusing. Here's an advice.
Read and follow the OWNER's Manual. Keep it simple.. Old School technique will do more good than harm your bike

exactly, I am also going to get the white LED's in a day or two. High beam is worth the upgrade.Originally posted by Sorcerer's apprentice View Post4th servicing done on saturday . Nice new look to XBHP.
Well I completed 540kms and took her to 7k, did 100kmph for 10secs. Then my heart was beating, not coz of the speed, but coz of the feeling that why didnt I wait till 1k kms to do that ...
Mind games.

Thanks and anyone know where to get genuine Formula 1 wax??? and i saw in ********* there are two products, same quantity but different price (one was paste wax)...So which to buy??? and any link on how to wax the vehicle??? Sorry am a Newbie hereOriginally posted by Eos View PostWash it when u feel like its dirty or dusty, never ever dry wipe your bike with a dry cloth. I am using Formula1 wash and wax Rs. 550, first wash rinse the bike with water, then using as needed car shampoo (stay away from harsh shampoos or washing powders like Nirma) mix the shampoo with water, wash with a good clean cotton cloth, best bet is to use a old Turkish towel, rinse to remove shampoo make sure you donot leave foam residues, I use chamois cloth Rs.590 (best thing i bought for automobile care) cloth to wipe the bike after washing, I have some pics of my bike in the earlier posts, it still looks the same or I might be imagining, better than when it was in showroom! Might be a ill exaggerating here, though you don't need to polish every time you wash, once a month carnauba wax polish Rs.450 which I use is sufficient if you have a good shampoo to wash. regarding the plastic parts, my previous experience maintaining both cars and bikes using Waxpol which is vinyl polish also gives good shine though attracts a lot of dust, also makes it look dull if not used frequently. There are many products available in the market though I have been using formula1 products for my cars and bike from I think past 10 years, how these products last depends on your usage but I have couple of other vehicles too of which seldom anyone can guess how old they are! I will soon try some other high end products and post review. But If I am correct xbhp is shutting down on 12th this month :-(
And thank God xbhp is Back........The world will Not END

And will Yamaha change to Motul if i ask them to do??? and i read about runin and found that we should clean/change lube filter at 175kms on odo...How do i do it??? will service guys do if i ask them to? Plz reply

Did you get the manual? If yes, then please go through it for run-in. Relying on the factory manual is far better than some junky's internet blog/post. Everything from starting the bike to services is mentioned in the manual.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostThanks and anyone know where to get genuine Formula 1 wax??? and i saw in ********* there are two products, same quantity but different price (one was paste wax)...So which to buy??? and any link on how to wax the vehicle??? About Motul oil, if your SVC agrees to it then you can go ahead with it, else stick to the same grade and get the oil changed from outside/local trusted mechanic but don't tell it to SVC guys (that's what I do to avoid Bajaj oil in my P150).
For Wax thingy, owners and users here can comment.Regards,

. Trust me, you will love the city.
I believe the nearest service center for you would be Orion Motors, Koramangala. But if you are ready to go a little further, go for Sprint Yamaha, Hosur Road. They have been serving our bikes really well. Worth the extra distance if you ask me.
