Talking in pure Physics, no matter how you hold the pipe, pressure remains the same. But I'm talking about pressing the open end of the pipe which gives you the feeling that water is now gushing out with more pressure.

    So, in layman terms:
I wash my bike's console, tank, engine area and headlamps with open mouth of the pipe (seemingly low pressure) and blast the rest of the bike with the pipe squeezed to 20% it's size for that blast of pressure.
    Hi Divya Sharan,

Can u pls explain why we shouldn't be cleaning the radiator with pressurized water?? I have seen car radiators being cleaned using pressurized water and I have been doing the same to my R15S and have not faces any issues with it.

    Thanks

Pressurized water/air has a tendency to bend radiator fins, which in turn will reduce the cooling efficiency of the same. Hence the recommendation.

Simple, Using high pressure hose while significantly damage the fins on the radiator as they are delicate.

You just spray the lubricant in the chain?

Yes. And I spray not on the chain but the inner side of the sprocket and let it dry overnight.

Awesome! Did you ride on the stock MRFs?

I spray only on the rollers (on the inside of the chain) and maybe a quick spray on the inside teeth of the sprocket. My assumption was that the rollers need some lubing even though they contain factory sealed lube inside. Are you saying just spraying lube on the sprocket teeth does the job?

Which color it was ? Please confirm from the spares counter that your bike parts have ordered or not, if ordered then what's the reason why parts haven't come yet. 2014 means bike can be still in warranty.

Mine is the 2013 white and blue motogp special edition. After one month from leaving the bike at SVC, I came to know that not even the parts were ordered. Then I asked the guys to order the part right infront of me, They said there is some problem with thier network and will order it after an hour. I reminded them several times to order and left. The mechanic guy asked one month time for the parts to arrive, he also said that he'll finish the jobs on my bike within two days and it's the spares that takes long time to arrive and delays the work. And ever since then, when I visit the service centre he says the parts haven't arrived yet. Now I doubt whether they have orderd my parts yet, First thing tommorrow morning, I'm visiting the shop and gonna double check whether the order was made!

When I asked yamaha dealer in my area he said for R15 parts 9-10 days are required and if it's required urgently then within 5-6 days. I ordered some of the parts for my R3 parts were here by 7 days. Please check with other yamaha dealers also if available otherwise ask them to talk to their yamaha engineer which looks after spare parts.

But the mechanic guy is very friendly and explains the reason that there are no parts arriving for R15 and fazer! He also showed me all the crashed R15s and fazers still staying over there without any job done. Has Yamaha stopped producing 2014 or earlier R15 and fazer's fairings? Cause all the R15s and fazers waiting over there was either 2014 or earlier models. Has anybody here recently bought any 2014 or earlier R15 or fazer body cowlings?
                          you have some patience!
its high time you shot an email to yamaha and demand an explanation. keep the paper work handy (job card/estimate etc..) and send them a copy of it that shows the date you left the bike at the workshop. a strongly worded (not abusive or rude) email can speed up the work.
you have every right to be compensated for such delays, but only if you push hard and put things in writing and inform them that you will be filing a case in consumer forum.

Thanks for the input mates, All these days I was at another city for my studies and checked on the status of my bike when I visited hometown occcasionaly. Now the semester got over and I'm back home, it sucks not to ride even on the little holidays I've got. The SVC mechanic is a relative of my school friend. He is quite friendly and supportive, and after the bike is repaired we both are going to work on some coustom jobs on the bike, So I can't raise a complaint against him and break the cool factor. Instead I've gotta urge him softly.
