Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Brother, I know when to rip the engine. Normally I drive around 5-6k rpm on which the engine gives decent torque. I accelerate smoothly , and then go to higher rpm. No it hurry to race always.Originally posted by PrinceCruise View Post

NEVER turn off your bike while coming down from a hill, the value of petrol saved is not equal to your life, you have to keep the bike on and in the appropriate gears so that it remains under control through ENGINE BrakingOriginally posted by Santhu Shyam View PostWithout using throttle? You mean that you just turn off the bike and come down with the transmission in Neutral? I heard that this way of riding is not healthy for the bike! Is it so?
How can some one get mileage if he has turned off his bike?No replacement for an engine Displacement

YAMAHA R15 V2.0 Filter Cap
Before few months I have replaced my Stock filter with K&N YA1208, but I am not getting a satisfactory performance. So now I'm going back to stock. But I got my filter cap torn. Can anyone suggest me where I can get one online. I have already tried showroom but they said it's not available there. Thank you.

Its all in how you drive the bike bro!Originally posted by PrinceCruise View PostStop making me jealous man!
I was worried about the 370 kms without a petrol pump, so decided to drive in full economy mode. Cruising between 3 and 4 k, shifting at 5k, drive extremely smoothly without much shifting. Still I was having a lot of fun on the drive, and was easliy able to keep up with my riding mates. My Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/abohtan?ref=tn_tnmn

Unless you want to screw the valves, fry the pistons or play with the head of the bike, any steel pipe is a prospective "slip on"Originally posted by aditya_YZF-R15 View Postcan anyone tell me if this is for real - Speedwav PE 2 Bike Slip ON Performance Exhaust CAN Black Yamaha R15 | eBay ?? it's too cheap to be genuine right ? i know it's just a slip on, and not the full exhaust set, but still. : o

Well actually no brother my 2009 r15 would deliver above 50kmpl everytime . The max I ever achieved was 56kmpl (all figures in city limits). It proved to be more efficient then my friends FZ-SOriginally posted by vijaycool View PostLatest version comes with O2 sensor and differently rated spark plug. .
I never drove it above 60kmph in 6th gear and changed gears before 3000 rpm.

Unless? The word you're looking for is "if". Sorry, but what you said did reverse what you intended to say! Just saying. :POriginally posted by prateek2210 View Post*Unless* you want to screw the valves, fry the pistons or play with the head of the bike, any steel pipe is a prospective "slip on"

i was just surprised to see such a cheap slip-on, because any other decent slip-on i have ever seen in the internet always were priced upwards of at least 3-4000 rs...so just asked here for general info, since no reviews of it exist in the internet.
turns out speedwav is a delhi based company that makes various kinds of accessories including several slip-ons.

Re: YAMAHA R15 V2.0 Filter Cap
costs 108 bucks part number is 20PE44120000. I boarded the same boat as yours(knn with +4 CO setting) in 2012 changed the cover back after the filter got wet after a heavy rain ride .If the part number is there they are bound to get it if you place an order with them. Just keep on harassing them.Originally posted by GOKUL RAJ View PostBefore few months I have replaced my Stock filter with K&N YA1208, but I am not getting a satisfactory performance. Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
I didn't mean remotely close to that - racing. Though the usage of rip must have given the wrong idea there, my bad.Originally posted by Anunay View PostBrother, I know when to rip the engine. So basically if we ride it like Splendor, we'll get a mileage like Splendor, okay I'm not surprised there. But thanks for taking time in responding.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Hello friends,
Today my bike did a 120kms trip(With Pillion). But the roads were too bad and in some places I rode over the potholes in a little high speed! And because of that, if I ride my bike over a speed breakers (like multiple speed breakers), a squeaking sound is coming from the front side! I don't know what it is...
And while on the return way the engine felt too stressed and when I shifted gears, sometimes the engine lost acceleration and the tachometer fell down suddenly!(Only two or three times)
Note: I kept my bike idle for a good number of minutes just for clicking a photo with headlights on! (It maybe the cause I think so)
My bike has completed around 800kms only.. Still the break-in period is not completed.
So friends.. Please help me for those issues out there... [emoji29]

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
I face the squeaky sounds with my R15S from the day 1 on bumpers, and apparently as per the other R15S and v2. 0 owners, its a normal with this bike, which I find really strange. See my post and answers to that in this thread -Originally posted by Santhu Shyam View PostHello friends,
