    More observations-

On those small-medium sized speed breakers, the front forks squeak after the initial push inside. This has happened a few times now. Tried this on stationary bike, applying front breaks and pushing the forks to the ground, there's a little squeak noise almost in the end then. I'm not sure while on those breakers its the forks or something else.
Did anybody else experience this any time?

    Thanks.

      Thanks.
Normal for all the R15 from V1, V2 and as you say R15s. The slight squeaking noise from front fork is nothing to worry about.
      Cheers.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

I have been to yamaha service centers a lot times. One thing I always noticed was cracks and broken plastic panels around the tail section of yamaha r15 v2 which i never saw on r15 v1. It gave me a feeling that r15 v2 tail section is delicate when compared to its predecessor. I am curious to know about the plastic quality of r15s.

Really man? I haven't found anywhere anyone mentioning about this so far, or may be I missed that. What have the owners done with it so far then? I don't think its a nonfunctional issue. Strange that Yamaha hasn't noticed it.

I approve this, its a common noise, its like same in cars or other big vehicles. I have done 10k , its from beginning and is there, no problem.

Boy o boy! Well thanks both of you for confirming it. Lets hope I too don't face any functional challenges with this.

On my friend's R15 v2 fitting a 140/70 Michelin Pilot Street there were no issues. Since the rear wheel assembly is from the v2, I'm guessing you can.

I wanted to fit in a main stand on my bike, you know public parking is a ***** with this low hanging side stand. But the svc main guy suggested against it stating that in a long run if the chain becomes loose, the main stand will rub against it and probably ruin it.
Anybody managed to do it properly yet and any observations please?

Dude, congrats on the purchase, but I just have to ask, why? Why did you buy this bike then?
                        You could've gone for a used R15 v1 then?
