I have opened the visor and fixed double sided tape. That took care of the vibration issue. Its a pleasure to ride now from 4k-9k no buzzing noise.

Perfect symptoms , i have same vibration on left side of visor, also slight tappet noise but not too much problem , anyway not able to ride the bike as currently using car for office commute , just done 1600km , next month going to Spiti and Leh so it will add up almost 5000 km on top of current reading.Originally posted by Anunay View PostThe sound is coming from visor, i am too having , (left corner of visor attachment) just hold visor and rev the engine you can feel the vibes going off. Regarding ttappet go for the adjustment, its not that dangerous you think , i did it at my 2nd service. Its ok. If you dont do, you may lose the top end power.
have to give 2nd service in a week [just for name sake , for warranty ]

Today I had to change my both disc kit, front and back, I dont know if this whole kit or only break pads. Also did my 4th service. Meter reads 8700km approx. Is it ok to change these so soon. Last week i went on 650 km ride. On the way the front disc started making sound.

That's too early to change rear brake kit. Rear brake kit needs to be changed when it starts jamming your rear wheel in between while riding. It's because rear brake pump is no more working and then the whole assembly needs to be changed.Originally posted by Anunay View PostToday I had to change my both disc kit, front and back, I dont know if this whole kit or only break pads. Brother, that is not the brake kit replaced. Only brake pads are replaced. The life of the brake pads depend on the riding style and so it may differ from person to person.Originally posted by rakshit rana View PostThat's too early to change rear brake kit. I got my rear pads changed at 9.5k Kms. The front ones still have some life left. but anything above 6 to 7 k kms is a good life for a brake pad.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
Dear All,
I have booked a Yamaha R15s in Chennai and expected to be delivered by next week.
I have 4 Queries and I hope someone could answer...
1) Who is the best ASC in Chennai ( I stay near Anna Nagar )
2) Does R15s and R15 V2 have the same service manual ? The sales advisor told me there is no manual for R15s but they will give V2 Manual.
3) In your RC copy does it mention R15 or R15S
4) Service Intervals of the bike.
Hope someone could clarify on the same...
Thank you.

After 3rd service my bike has shown some more issues. Frankly after every service, the mechanics throwing up new issues for free. Now as i cross every bumps there is a creek(katak) sound coming from the rear. They have over tightened the chain , now I have adjusted the slack as per the manual still the creek noise exist. I am suspecting suspension bolt creek. Have to check it out.

re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi,
I test rode both the R15s and the V2.0 today. Oddly enough I felt there's a difference on the seating on both the bikes. The R15s seems to have a smaller lean angle than the V2.0(By that I mean I seem to lean forward a lot more than on the R15s than the V2.0). I am inclined to believe all this is in my head.. but somehow the V2.0 seems more comfortable.
Anyone here can corroborate this experience of mine?

I felt otherwise, V2 seat having slightly more lean than R15S (Personal Opinion). Its something that you will get used to over a period of time.Originally posted by madhav766 View PostHi,

Thanks for this. I was so sure it was in my head that the V2 was more comfortable. I test rode it after I did the r15s. So I guessed it was because I was already used to the forward lean that I felt more comfortable the second time. It was only my second time on a bike that had so much lean after all(I TR'd the Daytona 675R last year). I will go take a second TR of the R15 V 2.0. All said and done - I might be joining you R15s owners before Diwali..
