Went to showroom 2 days back, saw this modified R15S. Asked the showroom guys about it, they said now you can modify the headlights(projectors), Exhaust, Anti-theft alarm(with remote system) everything from service center. These two pictures were taken in the showroom which are modified for some customer.

The price for full modification is around 30k . I'm interested in those projectors which cost around 10k.

I just wanted to know whether this modification is available in all Yamaha Showroom? The showroom i check was Sai Ram motors, Chennai.

The projector and the DRL setup is really cool! [emoji7][emoji7] I don't think that it is being done in all showrooms! But most of the Yamaha authorised service centres sell these spares separately! (As far as I know)
Anyway did you ask them whether the battery is altered to cope up with the projector's power need?

I asked them about the battery, a svc guy said, "since these projectors are of "Imported Quality" it doesn't need any battery replacement"

What? If it's an imported quality, don't it need an enough amount of power to function properly? [emoji28] He must be faking! (As usual business tactics! [emoji28])

Those projectors look good but I don't personally like that exhaust's shape and sound. There's a youtube video of the same exhaust note on an R15S, some may like it some won't.

On the same lines, I have a question regarding an aftermarket exhaust for my R15S. I'm not the one who's in for cosmetic changes than functional ones, so if I have the mooolahs, I'd rather get good quality bulbs than an exhaust but ever since I've heard the TNT 300's exhaust note, I'm kinda interested in listening to it everyday.

I know TNT 300's a parallel twin and a single cylinder like ours can't really create that sweet low gravity throaty sound but hey, is there any way I can put TNT 300's exhaust system or at least mimic it in R15S or come even closer to it? Any thoughts?

            Regards.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it couldn't be done. Only TNT300's twin cylinder sounds like that not other bikes which have 2 cylinders because Benelli has different type of firing mechanism in cylinders than others.

Rather than spending 3-5K for paddock stand you could make your paddock stand by going to any welding shop and then show how would you want your stand. Our fellow member burnoutdee did it.

I also made my stand from his link and it costed me only Rs 650.
P.S If you do it just remember first to align the structure of stand to your bike's need before final weld because I had some from there.

There are so many powerful options available now a days, so spoiling a well engineered product is not advisable at all. With 12k on the odo I can confidently say this bike is extremely well built and has '0' issues. Why to screw up an extremely reliable bike?. Right from first R15 to current generation its an evolution, engine and gearbox is a gem and I am getting astounding mileage of 52+ inside city and 56+ on the highway with my normal driving style.

                      Hello joshipuneet9,
Cheapest optiom is to buy an rx100 center stand with a connection rod , this rod should be thick enough .
R15 has holes in the center to fix center stand .. You can remove it after cleaning.

Thanks for comments . I come to know that company also providing its center stand but they are not providing a clip in which Stand will attach with bottom part ,then the mechanic told me that you need to weld that at bottom but i do not want any welding work on my machine so i return.

But your trick i will try .

                        Thanks Alot

Brother, welding will make it permanent which is not recommended. Reason the ground clearance of our bikes is already low, the permanent fixed center stand will further reduce the ground clearance. This is very dangerous as the stand may scrape on speed breakers and may cause loss of balance of the bike and you may have a nasty fall. The best way to use is attach the center stand only when cleaning or washing the bike and then remove it.

The center stand for RX100 will cost less than 200Rs and the center connecting rod will cost around 50Rs. You can get these at any spare part shop or Yamaha Authorized service centers.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.
