Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Ask them to check the engine foundation bolts and tighten if necessary. Also ask them to check ALL the body work fasteners.Originally posted by Wolverine171 View Post

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Since you are getting all of the above done, you may as well get the swing pivot, rear shock absorber mountings greased. Ask them to remove the swing arm completely and also remove the shock absorber from the top mounting and do the greasing. They normally tend to take a short cut by simply removing the swing arm shaft and applying greasing and reassembling the whole thing.Originally posted by achelis8 View Post@ Abhi

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Shit!!! Every time it rains,my stand spring pops out
:banghead:
Popped out more than 5 times and now I can put it with just my hand and its popping out every single time I disengage my stand
Time to change my spring I guess.. Dunno how it expanded so much

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Common man, that depends on the riding style and where he is riding. I myself have my tyres at 20k and still a little more to go, where as I know many who has reached 30k with it and who hasnt even reached 12k with it.Originally posted by abhiiceman View Postguys what is the rear tyre(stock) life on the r15v2?Ride, ride and ride.. Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
There are tyre wear indicators on the tire tread (tiny raised bars in the siping).Originally posted by abhiiceman View Postguys what is the rear tyre(stock) life on the r15v2?
If the tyre reaches the wear limit or has poor grip or is causing handling problems then you must replace it.
Ofcourse, as Ivin has mentioned, tire life will depend on your riding style and riding conditions.
The front tire will usually last much longer but i would recommend replacing both tires together.

+1
This is true,
My bike was ripped hard from day 1 and my friend was doing manual stuffs and more soft approach
My bike has more grunt and feels like more powerful and can cruise very nicely @3.5k apm in 6th gear with pillion.
Now my bike like tiger his one is a pussycat

as all know i owned 2 r15v2s till now. the first one i treated like a drag bike at it was just amazing in terms of acceleration and top speed but obviously with vibes. had done 152kmph on that.
the 2nd bike was done a very boring runnin till 2.5kms by the first owner so it became a softer bike with lesser top end and not the same acceleration as first bike. top was 148kmph something after riding miles together crouching. so totally 2 different behavior depending on the way you shape it to be. think wise.sigpic
