    Yello Evryone

I have been looking around for a price list for spare parts of our beloved R15 V2.0 but sadly I am not able to get it. The one put up by DIGISLAYER in V1 thread has some issues...( I am not able to access it..something wrong with the site)... If you guys are aware of any such source then please post the link for the same... Thanks

CRASHED mid corner while negotiating a beautiful corner in the far countryside and thus broke my crash virginity as a sportrider first important and worthy crash of my life from which to take a note..messed up the art of cornering by entering the corner too fast because i didn't judge the curvature of the corner correctly enough (partly because it was a tight corner whose exit and the full extent were not visible from its entry thanks to the area being fully tree covered), braked the front wheel sensitively like a pro while being leaned a good angle and eventually may have most likely corrected the error by leaning a bit more but the damp road prohibiting sufficient enough feedback and that inattentive dog in the middle of the road and the fact that i'd really messed up the corner entry ensured it was too late...eventually intentionally released the front brake because the front had no more feedback and so to prevent any semi-conscious and reflexive forceful insistence on the brakes on a very damp road and lock the front and make it worse, and thus i headed straight to the roadside mud and slippery grass and algae covered stagnant water from the rains..yeah yeah i am fully fine, eventually had braked enough by the time the bike left the road for the mud and grass that it was a fairly slow speed lowside..fell on the right side of my head and shoulder/elbow area but the protective jacket and helmet ensured i don't even have a scratch..the bike's just got a few scratches and mud paint, nothing else thank god..villagers were very helpful, of course...very disappointed with myself committing such a typical newbie mistake but then that's a quintessential part of sportriding and learning, had to happen at some point anyway but also strangely glad/proud of the first worthy crash of my life but obviously would have been pissed off if something had happened to my bike or myself...didn't stop me from high speed cornering the corners in the return journey though, albeit slower than what i'd have otherwise done normally.

but it's got a few scratches though on the right side

Even i do have the same query....even my bike's left side fairing was scratched today

But it is a very minor scratch

i wish frame sliders were available for the r15

yes the visor has the scratches. and there's a bump (at a point which i assume was the point of impact of the bike with the ground) on the upper region of the right side fairing...and also, as you can maybe see in the pics, that region and the visor's right area also has white marks, kinda like stretch marks..as if some of the paint and gloss had been forcibly rubbed off along those lines (which of course must have happened).

any tips to clean these off as much as possible ? polish maybe would do a part of the job ?

low res (mobile) pics attached but i suppose the scratches and stretch marks are easily visible.

try wax polishing the parts.. it would help to some extent.. but these won't completely go away..

                      Ride safe and have fun.

Even if polishing can make it little invisible, once the polish is gone, the scratch will be visible again. Only way is to change the parts.

well i guess i will just polish it one of these days, at least i suppose it will cover up those white stretch marks ?...it's not so bad as to change the whole stuff, only a few scratches..the body has not got disfigured or anything, thank god, except for a very slight bump on a point on the right fairing..

however, i later on realized my handle seems to have got a bit rotated from the straight line forward..when i am moving straight, it's clear there's a very small angle between the front wheel/mudguard/etc a and the direction that the handlebar is directed.. makes no difference in the riding of course.

Well there is another thing that I need your help with guys -> ...........................

Preface: My third service is due for this Friday and I have clocked 3k odd kms on odo.

                              Issues:
                              i) I wasn't satisfied with the second free service but I somehow made my peace with it. However, after a month of the service, the bike has become very rough i.e. the engine sounds very rough and that smoothness is like gone… I can literally feel the vibes at the tank and handle region… especially when I at 80 + & yeah I am getting a mileage of 32-33 max.( reserve to reserve method).
FYI: I did get my oil/oil filter changed at 2nd service…. ( oil -> yamalube semi synthetic )

ii)10 days back an awesome cab driver stopped his car in the middle of the road and well I couldn’t stop mine and ended up hitting the car from behind. However, by that time I got my bike’s speed down to almost 20 kmph & hence there was no wear & tear to the bike (apart from some 2-3 baby scratches on the beak( in between the two headlights))… But the main problem started later-> 8 out 10 times there is an audible khat sound while braking. Has anyone else faced the same before? What could this might be?? I really hope it has nothing to do with the front assy..

Yeah one last thing-> I live in Bangalore... Which SVC to prefer for the third service??

Third service at 3k?? Thats way too early and I guess you ripped you bike during run-in ( saying with the mileage you get and vibes in handle bar) If yes then little vibes at handlebar and tank is normal. Dont expect the butter smooth ride.

Coming to the sound, its either fork bend or coneset. Check for any visible damage on fork and check for any horizontal movent in handlebar while braking. If you have any horizontal movement, take it to svc and fix it.

PS: R15 forks are soo fragile IMO. I guess its bcz of the angle. Even a slight crash can damage it. May be its designed to absorb the impact by destroying itself.
