U don't need to worry about the spares as u just need to buy a gasket of hero xtreme's.. And also a stainer... If you don't get hold of one just visit honda dealership and ask for a unicorns stainer...hondas spares are of good quality...i replaced the stainer at 7000 on the odo...i always take care of the bike very well changing engine oil every 1200kms to 1200kms...but be sure to fill up 1.2 liters of oil once you open up the crank case...

Please clarify, is it clutch slipping you are experiencing or gear slipping?

Clutch slipping if I understand correctly means you accelerate, engine in high RPM but the wheels are not moving as fast as they should be.

Gear slipping is when the bike suddenly downshifts (or upshifts) by itself, sometimes also falls into "neutral" in between gears.

The first one - clutch plates need changing.

Second one - have a look at ur gearbox by someone who is good at it.

Correct me if I am wrong...

got my knuckle guards today. Din't came with any hardware/fasteners. Service person told they dont need any, it can be directly fitted using your clutch/brake's fasteners. no extra fasteners needed; just few extra size screw and done.
Haven't fitted on mine though. Will update you as soon as i get them fitted on.

Check your engine oil level. Excess level above max mark are known to cause gear slip. Also check the tension in drive chain.
Then if problem persists we will see.

You can use extreme slide. Just use the needle from your existing carb as needle of extreme is different. Both extreme and impulse has same carb.

I got it installed at Hero's ASC and after installation when I took look on Workjob of part what i found it was not Impulse's CLutch plate but Hero Achiever's clutch plate.

Now after probable 7- 8 months I am facing same kind of issue...
Bike is not accelerated RPM is shooting up above 5k - 6k rpm but its not catching up speed. Please help friends ...

Achiever, impulse and extreme share same clutch plates. Even unicorn shares same. Unicorn plates are cheaper at ₹800 while extreme costs ₹1395. Its because extreme had fibre material and unicorn cork.

While fitting clutch plate be sure to dip it overnight in fresh engine oil and then fit. Change the clutch cable for free movement and keep 10 mm free play in clutch for plates to disengage properly. Failure to adhere to any of these will cause clutch plates to fail prematurely.
Stop relying on SVC, find a good independent workshop.
Svc will never dip plates in oil as they do not have time. Clutch cable change only if customer wants and freeplay, there favourite thing is to tighten the clutch as much as they can.

Costs about ₹80 for a pair. Ordered thrice at ASC chinchwad but they dint bothered to provide one for me. So I went to the Authorized spare part dealer who supply spares to ASC, names Parts Cottage in Nana Peth, Pune. I paid there and got one.

Now I want meter assembly and they are stick to No we don't have any meter available. ASC guy reply every time when I call that why don't You remind us to order. JERKS!

Hi guys, I've recently acquired a new Impulse. Being a hardcore twostroker I am not much into four strokes. All you Impulse experts, I'd be grateful if you guys can provide me some inputs on making some changes to increase the power. I'm not inclined to increase the top speed but need better usable initial and midrange.
