    and one more query
i found the stock headlight adequate but i need more lighting
a serious no to HID because i don't wanna play with warranty
so say me what to chose for between Osram night breakers and Philips diamond vision in 60/55W ratings or any other bulb in that rating which provides more illumination that stock
I think stock bulb is OSRAM. I am not sure about philips diamond vision. I find the stock lighting good enough not tried it on highway though.
Maybe you can also put a query in Lighting section.

      reserve to reserve was
      approximately 48.7 km/lts
filled full tank in reserve mode ( low fuel indicator )
      and clocked 439 kms
and then it showed low fuel indicator !
      .
ya the stock is osram but heard diamond vision is good
, i posted in lightning thread but got no reply so posted here

Registration will take at least 5-6 more days, which means curbing my newly developed instincts of just hopping on the bike and riding away for no reason at all.
If I remember correctly, there was a post in this thread which mentioned that it is possible.
Also, assuming it's possible, is it advisable to do it?
No Worries, I had 500 kms when i went for my registration(Navi Mumbai).

Is it advisable, am not sure on that front.. better to wait till you get registered

The bike can be registered irrespective of the kms run . My friend took the Duke from Trivandrum, 400kms away from here, registered it after the first service , that is atleast after 1k kms... So no worry ....

              Hi Doga,
You don't have to worry the RTO person don't see console of your bike while registration.

Yes 150 km restriction is there for TC passing, it include that the bike can only be ridden by showroom biker only and this is the cache until CRTM, if pandu caches you he will get you in trouble 1st for 150 Km run & if its below that then he will ask whether you are showroom/company rider, in any case you have sought out with pandu with gandhigiri (you must be have understood by it & i think 50 bucks would be enough).

Even wen i went to Kalyan RTO for Registration my console was about 250Km n as on date its 400Km n i'm riding without Form 19 & CRTM too has expired with No. is yet to be allotted to me.....

Most of the people I know get about 35 - 45 on tank to tank full method calculation. I thought it's a pretty good for the Duke. I am happy with my mileage figures, probably will do a highway run and check if there are any changes

You can use led blinkers on other bikes. By bulb holder do you mean the housing of the lamp or the socket ? Duke's blinkers have leds mounted on a PCB so there is no bulb socket.

You can fit the complete housing with the LEDs on other bikes, but u will also require to change the flasher relay as the stock relay wont support LED blinkers.

                              Rishi,
That depends on how you define "superior".
If you meant that running at a lower temperature in heavy traffic makes a bike superior then you could argue that an air-cooled bike is superior to a liquid-cooled one.

But, keep in mind, that the reason why the Duke runs to hot (and as a consequence needs liquid cooling) is the amount of power it generates from a relatively puny engine. (Hint: compare it with the Zma's ~225cc engine).

The heat is just a minor irritant (which you do get used to over time), but well worth the delicious output of the engine.

Though I really like the way duke is but just to know why can't a bigger displacement bike which churns out greater than 25bhp employ a air cooled system. We once had the legendary RD which had 347cc twin cylinder with air cooled. So is liquid cooled system designed only to work at highway speeds?
