Yes I carried the wheels separately with the help of a friend and his Dio.

Wheels were removed at Rajajinagar svc and tire replacement was done at "Shiva's auto service" located at Dr.Rajkumar road Rajajinagar and not at Auto Service banashankari svc.

150/60 PSR's are now available at various tire shops at JC road, Infact it is even available at Popular tyres at Rajajinagar who is an authorized Michelin dealer. I bought mine from Venkateshwara tyre company JC road a month back. Call up Michelin customer care and ask for authorized Michelin dealer close by your place and can check out with them, but I'm unsure whether you can bargain and get it for a cheaper price as you could at JC road.

150/60 are sold at extra price in comparison to 140/70. I bought mine at 5600/-. If you can bargain well you can buy at even little lesser price.

    cheers

After a lot searching, even the manual does not mention it, I have discovered that the 20 makes max power at 10000 RPM and max torque of 1.94 Kgm @ 8000 RPM. Please confirm if this is correct.
And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

        Hey Guys,

My bike has a long persisting problem of electric start switch not functioning.Used to start bike by shorting starting relay(By shorting two bolts beneath the front seat cowl).Because of the same battery used to drain quickly.Present battery which was replaced in Oct 2014 started giving low voltage alarm(JBQ... alarm in console).I have shown the same in different SVC across CHENNAI and none were able to solve the issue.Anyone facing the same issues or any solutions??And Whatever issue i have mentioned above will occur randomly only, say once in 2-3 days and once i start by shorting the startin relay,i will be able to start using starter switch itself.

Also Bike used to rev up to 6-7k rpm while turning to right.Does the condition of throttle cable has anything to do with electric start??

        Thanks In advance.

I suppose that's normal. Why don't you compare it with other models or duke or RC available there at the showroom? A realtime comparison would be the best thing.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Unfortunately there are no other KTM's available at showroom. It is multi-brand showroom and dealer has limited experience with KTM

Hi Vinu, I faced the same problem till last week. The problem persisted even after the SVC ppl asked me to change the starter relay and stator coil.

But finally last week they stripped my bike and examined the wiring. The culprit was just a little rust found in the terminals of the wires. Cleaning that solved the issue.
I would recommend that you ask the svc to check your wiring for rust. This also affected my idle RPM, and the bike would accelerate on its own.

let me know if this helps.

electricals are a pain to diagnose. i would suggest you start by having the stator coil checked, and then replacing the starter switch. Pl search on this forum, and i have described how to check the stator coil. The next item to check would be the RR unit (try to swap one from a proper working bike). the battery voltages need to be within spec at various rpm's if your stator coil and RR unit are working correctly.
I have also posted links to the workshop manual of the duke, pl take time to search and locate it.
You will also need to have the wiring checked, and clean the various contacts and inspect for any lose connections/rust and put it back together.

The rev's rising up while turning the handle bar is a very dangerous thing. Please check the throttle cable and make sure it is routed properly and if you find it has any dings n knicks go ahead and replace it.

That's perfectly normal and thats how it is on the Duke 200.
I added some extra black electrical insulation tape around those connectors at the ends so that the wires are not visible

At times measuring the coil won't help you, at least in my case. The coil impedance was good, the coil had output, RR had output, but it was just 12v, could light up a 60w halogen to its fullest, changed the coil and it was fixed. Coils will have their dates written on the connector, so I guess you don't need to see if they actually change it. Also you can look at the connector and the cable.

I'd say you get the repair work done in front of you and see that it is in fact the stator coil that is being replaced. Also have the battery charged overnight at the svc.
the stator coil can be checked by measuring the resistance across it pins - refer to one of my earlier post http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ml#post1136758
