I dont know whether they will replace the problem or not , but just tel them to ride anather bike from the svc and see the diff of the vibrations. Try to contact the dealer from whom you bought the bike. If there are any other svc then go there as once i had a leak problem and when i showed it they told its nothing , but then i gave my bike for service to anather svc and showed them they fixed it for me . It may be that the guys are too lazy . Dont stay silent until ur problem is not solved .

Okay ! Thanks for your valuable input.
When i did some research i learnt that usually they don't replace bikes once registered.
I will try with another service center and let you know.

I checked with the service people but they say that they can't find any problem.
However the bike has run only 2800Kms.

Any fellow chennai dukian who can help me out ?
I am really upset after spending 1.5Lac on this bike and i have to compromise and ride my bike.
Please note that : This problem started only after there was some oil leakage from the front fork ( However the service people have replaced the oil seal and checked the forks and they say that they are normal)

I would be without words if someone can help me on this issue.
I am an MBBS student and i don't know that much about these stuff.
I loved riding my bike till this issue. Now, i Don't enjoy my ride :-(

            Thank you!
Which KTM service center did you take it to?

Please ride another duke and then you will know better. And yeh, the fork job needs to be done correctly or can mess up handling.
And check the chain slack too, some mechs tend to over tighten the chain and this will cause some vibes/buzzy feeling at the footpegs which goes away after a few 100km once the chain slackens.
But the exact nature of the 'vibrations' that you mention cannot be ascertained without actually riding the bike or you providing more information on the same (where do you think the vibes are from, do you feel it at the foot pegs, handle bar, tank, seat ?)

1.20 L for a D200 with 3k on odo is possible, but it would take you quite a while to find a potential buyer for that price. IMO, it's not worth selling it for that price as of now. If you're not happy with the bike, use it for normal city commute for some 5-7k kms and think about selling it for the above price.

The elderly guy at west mambalam SVC is quite knowledgeable than any other mechs, that I have spoke with. Try explaining the problem to him and see if you can get the work done by him. Also keep pestering the SVC with a smile until you're satisfied with the job done.

Yes ko_rider is right. SVC guys deal with angry customers all the time. Being smiley and calm builds up a good rapport with SVC. Tell them what your problems are clearly and to the point. Be specific on details.Talk to them politely. Gandhian philosophy works here very well. And ride the vehicle another 5k kms that would give you enough time to deal with all the problems. No vehicle is perfect. Not even a Moto guzzi.but fixing these problems will make your bond stronger with your duke. Even I had my share of problems with the duke. Trust me. It's worth the hassle

Update : sending a harsh email to ktm results in local SVC guys getting a black mark. And nobody likes a black mark.probably that's the reason they get irritated.. This was told by my local SVC head.

Guys, my duke has run 540kms. I'm getting a SQUEAKY NOISE from the FRONT DISC sometimes while RIDING SLOW. Is that a PROBLEM?? Also rarely while braking. I haven't poured any liquid substances over the disc.
Also i did the first service a few days ago and now, the CHAIN started making NOISE again especially while riding WITH A PILLION.
Also the engine is a little vibey.
I have motul 7100 FS oil installed and i ride the bike sanely, occasionally a hard acceleration but never crosses 7.5-8k RPM then too.

I'm also facing a similar situation. Even after changing the brake pads and bleeding, noise still persists. Unluckily for me it both front and rear which is making that noise. It's irritating when I brake in crawling traffic at slower speeds. Tried cleaning the disc pads regularly with break cleaner, wiped it dry and still; hard luck. So you can try these and check if that fixes the problem. In case if it still persists, changing the disc rotor is the last resort(which I'm yet to try).
