    • Oh man, I did not get the keychain! even after asking so many times. I wonder what it looks like, is it the shoe sole shaped one that Sunny was teasing us with? Wonder if it is better than the one I use...

Yours look awesome.. I got a couple of standard leather ones which have the Service center's name and address printed.. nothing fancy... it has a Bajaj logo on it...I'm using a Motul Keychain.. nothing fancy as well, however it's in red

EDIT: Here's both the key chains

Yes I have felt this and reported quite a few times earlier in this thread. The Bike feels very smooth with very good acceleration. But once the Bike is quite hot(2 or 3 bars below cutoff) then it feels real sluggish and rough. The gear shift becomes a bit hard also.

Thing is I too admit that it includes all the required check, but I have hardly performed all the checks anytime I bought a bike. I feel so excited while buying a new Bike I find it almost impossible to keep track of all these checks. However, I d perform a through check for any visible scratches.

The xenon kit looks nice in daytime, but I am not impressed with the light intensity and throw during nighttime pics. But it's obvious that without having a projector the Xenon kit will never be so efficient. Also the light seemed a bit blueish which will have less output than pure white one.

It's a good info that even after 2 hour non stop with 120-125 speed the Bike shows decent temp.

It should be inside the rear seat, though a very small package. If not please ask the Showroom people. However, according to the comments from other owners it seems either the showroom guys or the factory guys were running out of their time to make those bikes ready for masses. Pressure of the demand or pure negligence??

Now tell them according to the law it's compulsary for every bike to have it.

can anyone explain why is it so ?

                and my other query

ive run 270 kms and the bike was all fine until i took it for a highway ride of 60kms and was under proper rpm .
                .
and after that the next day , during the city riding i felt the gearbox very hard , and it makes thud sound whenever i upshit or down shit which was not heard earlier .
what could be the reason ?
and the gear box is pretty rough now
and while turning the bike from standstill from 1st gear
even if i leave the clutch 3-4th the bike just revs till 6k and then it starts rolling but when i tried to move from 2nd gear from standsltil it was fine

                .
and today morning i took for 80kms spin and it behave the same , i mean that roughness and thud sound .

im highly disappointed with the bike
Well with respect to gear shifts I can give you a solution!
Please note more carefully you will only either have a hard upshift or a hard downshift you cannot experience both! I may not be an expert but from what I have noticed on my bike and a little bit of DIY I sorted the hard shifts and clanks while shifting.!
One more Point please pep the throttle while downshifting will definitely sort your hard downshifts! Wrt to upshifts let me put it this way the gear lever is connected to the spindle through a connecting rod. Now if the distance of travel is longer you will find the gear shift to be harder! So what you will ve to do is adjust the nuts on the connecting rod to reduce the distance or free play first do it visibly and then take it for a small ride its more of a trial and error method! I am sure you will have a difference but downshifting always make it a point to rev the engine a bit and then drop the gear! Hope it helps!

I seem to love the engine braking. Lowers the usage of brakes to quite an extent.

Thank God I am not the only one who is experiencing this, so guess its normal till first service.

I am sure this happens to most of us all the time as the excitement to ride the bike is so much. I also checked for the electricals, fluid levels, scratches on the body etc. before deliver.

I would love replacing brake shoes/discpads instead of engine parts over the time...

Engine braking is good but not advised.

Got my duke yesterday. reached the showroom at around 7:30 in the evening. Arranging for the cash was a real pain. I exhausted my daily withdrawal limit and was still short by around 40K .The credit card machine was not working at the service centre. It was a test of my patience, seriously. Through all this, I was just looking at my babe and telling her " just a few more minutes, last moment glitches !". Finally the machine worked, and I could take her home at around 9 pm. The Bbranch manager was not there. In his absence the guy Amit at the Vashi KTM was really friendly and helpful. He cheerfully answered most of my queries, even though it was way past his shift timings. No free goodies though. Not even a key chain.
Took the bike straight to the Vashi kali Bari and got the pooja done.
Brought her home at around 10: 30 in the evening. What a feeling. Will post a detailed buying experience and a first ride experience soon.

When Kinetic Honda scooters have made it in the Leh terrain, this should be a piece of cake for the Duke.

The tank's fuel capacity is too low though - that will need some careful planning.
