Anyone tried the dual paint scheme as shown in the above image? It looks so way cool!

Simple google search actually. It would be so cool if KTM offered such alloys as power-parts...

I went to Bajaj showroom today here in Nashik and they are quoting a price of 1.61 on road. Is this a bit too high?

Hi there guys Just got a duke 200 and I installed a powertronic ECU in it. I cant reach the top speed of 150kph the rev limiter kicks in at around 135. So I saw the post of removing the speed sensor the blue and white wire. Have not tried it yet because I have read here that you could remove the whole socket and the bike would still run well my bike does not run and even after removing the socket the headligth(high beam still works) as well as the indicators. Attaching pics so you could see it better

This is the socket that I removed it is right?? But then once removed why doesn't my bike start and the indicators are still working??

And from the original post this was what is instructed to be cutted (credit to the owner of the pic)

Or should I be removing this??

And here is the video insturuction I'm pretty sure I got it right but then why doesn't my bike crank once removed???

Sorry für die gaaaanzen Rechtscheibfehler :x hätten uns doch ein bisschen mehr Zeit lassen sollen :P tut uns leid :( Ein großes Dank an http://www.youtube.co...

Would really appreciate if someone could help me out..

I'm asking this just out of curiosity. Why are you actually fiddling around with all these electronics? If you have the Powertronics ECU installed properly, you don't have to do all these to reach 150. If the limiter still kicks in at 10.5k rpm and won't let you cross 138 mark, then the problem is with your new ECU which isn't properly installed. My humble advise is to stop playing with the sockets and seek someone's help to get the ECU installed properly.

Hey thanks for the advice but that done and ECU is working perfectly from gears 1-5 it goes to 12k rpm in the 6th it wont go pass 10,500 or pass the speed limit on the duke which is around 135kph. It's installed properly as I have a duke 390 as well which is working perfectly. Playing with the sockets is the only way to remove the speed limiter. And I was hoping someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong or which wire should I cut.

                Thanks

Lol. Your issue seems to be one of a kind. Never heard such kind of issues. Try asking the people from Powertronics about this. And do keep us posted
Bdw, how is the mid range power with Powertronics? Any 0-60 / 0-100 figures?

                    • Re: KTM 200 Duke

                      Ciao folks!,

Got the Michelin PSR stock profiles (150/60 and 110/70) installed on my 200D over the weekend (17965 kms on the odo).

Went to a automated tire fitment center close to my home to change tires but they refused to remove the wheels and asked me to have the wheels removed at the ASC (lack of tools and not to take risk is what they said) and get the wheels and the new tires. Initially I enquired at the Rajajinagar SVC over phone for the tire change for which they quoted 800 bucks that again for manual fitment (I know its insane, no surprise there! ) .

                      Note:
Visited the SVC for wheels removal and the job card for tire change estimating 600 was made (again no surprise you know what they're trying to do ) and I immediately corrected him that it was only wheels removal and not tire change then he corrects the job card and quotes 300 bucks and then wheels were removed which was followed by an amazing job at the automated tire fitment at Shiva's auto service at Dr.Rajkumar road for 70 bucks and I was so happy I actually paid him 100 bucks!

Now the wheels were fitted back on the tire and thanks to the mech at the svc who sprayed chain lube excessively that ended up on the disc rotors and what next is the rear brake feels like wood (I was standing on the brake pedal and it shows no sign of slowing down a bit) No bite whatsoever!

Came back home bought a pack of Vim liquid detergent and tried cleaning the rotors and after riding for close to 85 kms now it is improved a wee little bit but still no bite as such, will need to visit Auto service Banashankari this weekend for the brakes! (Yes!, I go all the way to Banashankari which is 10+ kms from where I stay )

                      First impressions so far,

Rear tire though is of stock profile looks wider than the stock.

Front felt heavy (difficulty in steering) right away despite having appropriate PSI/pressure (blame the air pressure gauge at the tire change shop)
Went to shell to fuel up and corrected the pressure once again and now the feedback from the front is pretty good.

Rode in the moderate rain yesterday and there was no wheel spin at all upon quick downshifts and with whatever little braking the rear does I was so much impressed.

Completed 100 kms this morning. Taking the break-in period pretty cautiously! Will keep posted on how the tires performs for next few hundred kms.

                      Cheers,
                      Sarav

Hehe, 800 bucks!! I got the tyres replaced during one of the servicing when I had to replace the chain sprocket kit, where they had to remove the tyre anyways.. so got it for free
It might also be because I was in the good books of the SVC people.
I know the Michelin front feels ridiculous, even I had the problem and immediately went back to the MRF in-spite the SVC mech telling the feel will get better after some use..

A few svc's quote really ridiculous prices for simple things ...

I replaced my sprocket kit a year ago at 10K kms and my rapport with Auto svc is great, the only reason not going there was I was lazy that day and on top of that I would have needed to find a automated tire fitment around that area that would ate up my whole day, so chose to do it near my home. Total cost for replacement 400 bucks!

I remember you saying you reverted to MRFs pretty soon from PSRs, I feel all it needs is a few hundred kms for break-in and then the patience will be fruitful! Anyway you have changed to MRFs, cheers!

Yea that was me, couldn't bare the weird handling, but my rear is still Michelin 140, its feels quite grippy under hard braking, the MRF used to lock and I would get a long slide, not with the PSR though.. BTW is this your first tyre change??

Yep, this is the first change odo-18K, stock ones still has good amount of tread life in them but the grip levels in wet, garvel even in dry (straight line was still good but corner carving had scary moments) conditions have diminished way too much! Had couple of close calls that's when I decided its time.

So did you carry the wheels separately to the Auto Service to change the tires? Also please let me know where did you source the new Mich 150 from?

                                Waiting for your further reviews
