IXIL Hyperflow looks really good on the Duke IMO.
Can be picked up online on SnapDeal
It is very loud without baffles.

Just get a decent wax (solid or liquid type) from brands such as 3M, meguiars, armorall and follow the instructions on the bottle.
And there isn't much on the skimpy duke to polish anyway apart from a bit on the tank, side panels (and wheels if you wish to)

I got the first free service done last Monday and completed 1000 clicks today. The shift light is still set at 5500 and 7000 RPM. When and to what RPM should I set the limiter now? I was thinking of RPM 1 at 7500 and RPM 2 at 9500. What do you guys think?
And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

The shift lights are not rev limiters but only shift indicators, you can set them to whatever you want

              1) 4 services at just 9000 kms ? you dont ride much ?
              2) duke has a service interval of 5000 kms
              3) yeah chain doesnt usually go bad at only 9000 kms, it easily lasts 20k kms or more.

but if its really bad then better opt for changing it and take more care of the chain in the future.

Since my efforts for DIY ended in vain, I decided to take it to an ASC here in Chennai, to get the job done. To my disappointment, I was told that they wouldn't take up that job since they are not allowed to use any spares brought from outside. I tried arguing and gave up at some point when I realized that they were just parroting what they are instructed. Even the talking with the manager didn't help.

              2) Has anyone else had a similar experience with the SVC and got it resolved through escalating?

they usually are not allowed to take outside work, but then again if you have good relation with them they might help you

Some folks do help out with such minor things and just charge for the labor.

Replacing the coolant is a pretty straight forward job and you can follow the steps (first drain and then fill) from workshop manual that has been posted here earlier (search back a few pages). Try asking the mechanic if he can do it for you outside the showroom.
Thanks for the prompt reply buddies. Tried approaching at a different SVC and got the work done. The only problem is they don't use distilled water+vinegar solution for flush. I had to carry my own. However, as you both said building a rapport does help.

Has anybody tried a 15T sprocket at the front.I opened it yesterday and found the default setup itself to be a very tight fit. Dont know if it can take a 15T sprocket.

If i want to switch to 40T Karizma sprocket at the rear..should i buy the karizma chain as well or use the Duke's chain itself? In am trying this to make the duke more relaxed and highway friendly.

I gave my duke for service today here at kasturba road bangalore, just out of curiosity I asked Ravi (SVC Engineer) about the top speed,it was to my surprise brought to my notice that all the D200s have got a ECU remap done which will not allow these machines to clock post 130kmph.Yes it is not 138guys.bit of a heartbreak. This is to correct the famous low speed engine jurking (as if it has run out of fuel) issue that people saw in the first lot of dukes.

Secondly,I just learnt my free service is not so free, will be spending 1500 on the motul synthetic and 600 buks for the teflon (which i ignored at the time of delivery). The KTM bike cover is at 700 which I liked and picked.

Lastly,They did not cause any porblem looking at my good looking white parking light,I was worried if they would start their ranting of voiding warranty etc.

The LED cost me 60 buks and fitting charge was 100.Dream Machines Sanjaynagar Bangalore

These led's are now being sold all over the place.. ebay, snapdeal, local spare shops. I ordered a pair from ebay. Mmake sure they are the t10 wedge type and they come in various configurations such as 5 smd, 10smd,28smd projector type blah blah.. cost around 100-200 a pair depending on the type you chose.
I have been using a 5 smd white led without any issues. The stock blub is 5W while a 5smd led is less than 1w. You can safely install a 10smd for a little more brightness.
I got it installed for free at my ktm svc.. the stock blub had gone kaput in less than a month of buying the bike 100rs for installation is a rip off.

People I am facing a really weird issue.
My Duke seems to vibrate a lot ( Unpleasant vibration )

I checked with the service people but they say that they can't find any problem.
However the bike has run only 2800Kms.

Any fellow chennai dukian who can help me out ?
I am really upset after spending 1.5Lac on this bike and i have to compromise and ride my bike.
Please note that : This problem started only after there was some oil leakage from the front fork ( However the service people have replaced the oil seal and checked the forks and they say that they are normal)

I would be without words if someone can help me on this issue.
I am an MBBS student and i don't know that much about these stuff.
I loved riding my bike till this issue. Now, i Don't enjoy my ride :-(
