On as200 the legs used to sit too Much back causing ankle pain .yes I thinj its worth it.that was my last bajaj bike .
In Bangalore the AS200 is 1.13 and Duke 2016 is 1.69 lakhs.its worth it according to me.but if you get a good as200 without any issues at all then as200 is a rock solid vfm bike.
Regarding sprockets @jbm_guy can help you a lot.
Wow... So you finally sold AS and bought Duke200?. Great and congrats. But how did you get to fall for a short geared transmission? esp after riding AS...I couldn't make myself feel happy for a short geared system. CBR250 is also a good choice, but costly though.

Anyway... share your experience and comparison. Maybe you could've gone for D 390 (ignore the tons of probs it has) just to taste the bloood...
How much did you sell it for?. Dealer or olx\quickr?
    Happy riding bro.

Thanks.right now my budget isn't allowing to take inline2.may be down the line .I wasn't looking for power also as I generally drive around 60s in city in a sedate manner.
Yes I found the duke to be a good allrounder bike.

          Happy riding bro.
He jbm.long time bro.yes I sold it.so many issues were there I couldn't hold it.out of 10 days my bike will be in SVC for 6 days.
Duke is short geared but I change gears very frequently as I would be in 60s in 6th gear.I did shortlist CBR but it was 2.24 with abs.but the problem was the weight and also the gears are pretty tall.below 4K rpm the bike doesn't have good pickup.in bangalore it becomes very
Tough and end up making more gear changes.
Duke was the only 200cc I could think of.so far its pure fun bro.the duke is absolutely different from any other bike.there is a special fun on riding the Duke at a very sedate speed.
I sold it at olx and got around 85000( bought it at 1.09)

Didn't like the d390.for a city I think its gonna be tough to ride considering it makes leg kabab!and I am not into acceleration or power.the 390 is insane in this case [emoji4]

            .
Thanks for clarifying s1d .. I use diesel to clean the chain and then apply gear oil then clean the excess with cloth. During long rides I don't do so.. Thinking of getting a spray can. 20k kms is not bad..

The duke can cruse @85 to 90 all day long but of you wanna cruise at 100 or so.. You have to maintain her at 7500rpm which I feel is pretty high..
I already tried to sprocket the bike but efforts went in vain..
For your information, the 200 ns rear sprocket won't fit the duke 200s hub.. The mount point spacing is different.
Of course if you over gear the duke with 39t, you can cruse in 100 at 6k rpm..
Here are the options and the challenges faced:

              1. To change the entire rear alloy and hub assembly and get a pulsar 180ug4 sprocket fixed.
(Well I was unable to get an alloy from SVC as they said not available anymore. I am not interested to get used ones from untrusted source)

              2. Get custom rear sprocket from irevs for approximately 5000 rupees (which I feel is pretty high..)

              3. Try to find a 15t front sprocket.
(I have ordered a 15t and 16t sprocket from china, awaiting delivery) have to check the spleen size and if that doesn't work, I will be dropping the idea of sprocketing or I may go for Irevs one)

But if we can team up and pool in our resources, I think I would be able to make a sprocket out of steel.
I live near Ambattur estate where metal and CNC machines are available but it would involve some cash. And a used duke 200 2015 model sprocket and a new 200ns sprocket so that I can trace the outer dimensions of the 200ns sprocket and inner dimensions of the dukes sprocket. Thus merging the two..
Would sound like a crazy idea but that's like the last resort.

P.s. if i really think about it, I feel when i am cruising at 80ish speeds, the ride feels more enjoyable.. IMO

Hope this gives you an idea of the options and the challenges in the process .. Cheers

yes its normal, just clean the rotor say once or twice a month with soap water+scotch brite pad. The brake pads you can get them rubbed down on sand paper at every service. If you ride in very dusty conditions, you will need to do more frequent cleaning

Sure thanks bro will follow the suggestion.
Have anyone installed the radiator guard for the duke ? If yes which ones do you guys suggest.
During my last long ride I managed to bend couple of fins because of bad roads filled with stones.

Sorry, my bad. Didn't realize that the duke and NS have different sized rear wheels, thus sprocketing would be different.
So, It's Better to be stock. Oh, nice entrepreneurial idea by the way.

Stock offers more longevity, reliability and availability. The duke 200 is a city street fighter and its does what its meant to do

But if you manage to get your hands on a pre 2014 version rear wheel and hub assembly, you can really play around with the bike..
                        37 or 36t from Pulsar 220f
                        39t from pulsar 180
                        40t from karizma

                        Make your pick..

The duke already has a plastic radiator guard.
Doesn't your front mudguard have the extra plastic flap that is bolted on at the bottom ? This prevents dirt and muck from flinging on to the radiator. If you do not have this extra mudflap (which i think has been provided since around 2014), do get it installed. Its a cheap fix.

I've ridden on almost all types of roads and have never had stones hitting the radiator. Just those random flies and insects that hit the radiator on highway rides.
and btw, a couple of bent fins is not going to cause any problem (in a lot of cases the fins get bent due to careless water washing)

Guys for the past few days, whenever i wake up in the morning and see my bike there'll be one or two drops of black liquid around the stand. So i my service time came and i told them and one svc guy said it's probably chain lube. But after servicing, i saw my bike at the svc, there was no problem.. But after coming back to home, the black liquid started to drip like 2-4drops per minute.. Pics attached, and when i contacted the svc, they again said it's probably chain lube along with the dust and now any ideas what should i do??? And is it really chain lube or something else??
