any other contender which I can think of opposite Duke 200 being almost similar price and specs, but better?

Guys I am thinking if reverting to the old alloy wheels with 4 mounting points and go for the 39t rear sprocket from the pulsar 180 so that I can increase the top end performance and cruising ability of the bike.. Has anyone else here tried a sprocket mod here???
I got to see some spy shots of the 200 apache.. Still has the same air cooled engine.. :|Originally posted by Harideep View PostApache 200. Comin Soon
Black thorn... Please help me !!! I need some help in sprocketing my bikeOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostIt's the stator coil, just as I suspected. Usually these show up as zero and low battery warning, when starting after say two days. The first signs are speedo going zero while on the move. If you're under warranty get it replaced. But make sure they check the front speed sensor too, it might be just as simple as a speedo sensor as opposed to the coil itself. Keep us posted.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Unfortunately, nope, you can't.Originally posted by Vishal_G View PostI had a query, is it possible to get slipper clutch fitted in duke 200 at the auth svc. I read on the rc390 thread that they can do it for something around 6-7k. Just asking 😁

Re: KTM 200 Duke
This is in context with my previous posts about how I feel handle heavy to the right and when riding without holding handle bar bike moves to the left.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThis in all probability can be either bent forks, either one of the forks are bent or one of the forks are either loose. Yes, as you've stated this can/might/could have twisted/affected something on your bike. Check the basics first and get them done at the SVC then observe how it fares, if it still persists, then we can investigate even further.

So I went to the service center for my regular service and asked the same and I was told that handle bar needs to be changed along with 'triple clamp ?' ( I am not sure if I heard it right ) and the cost would be somewhere around 6.5K ( addition 1K if work on cone-set needs to be done ). Fork is not bent he said.
Does it sound right what he said ? Please let me know as next month I am planning to get my chain set replaced and if required this too.
Thanks.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Now it's really hard to discern what actually is wrong with the bike and you've clarified, that the forks aren't bent, so that's good news. Apart from the forks all that there is are the T stem and the handlebar. If I were you, I'd definitely consider changing them both, if indeed they were either bent or otherwise. Now, all I can suggest you is inspect if the handlebar is really bent in the first place. I highly suspect the handlebar here.Originally posted by faster View PostThis is in context with my previous posts about how I feel handle heavy to the right and when riding without holding handle bar bike moves to the left.

There are chances that the triple clamp might have a very minuscule bend, bad enough to cause trouble. But my paisa would be on the triple clamp (the T shaped holder that holds your forks and your handlebar)
I hope I didn't confuse you.
Keep us posted.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Thanks a lot. Sure I will update on this. Today again I tried to ride without holding the bars on a flat empty road and bike immediately starting going to the left by a good amount. The natural tendency for the handle ( or the bike ) at the moment is to go left. That's why I have to hold the handle from the right with a force much greater than from the right side and it feels very awkward and twisted. I will start with changing Triple Clamp and see if it works then if required the handle bar.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostNow it's really hard to discern what actually is wrong with the bike and you've clarified, that the forks aren't bent, so that's good news. Re: KTM 200 Duke
Well my bike was also doing that before the first service.. I don't know whether it's due to engine braking?? The bike's tendency ??? He..he.. Must have gotten used to it.. :POriginally posted by faster View PostThanks a lot. Sure I will update on this.
