    Hi all,

Does someone own 2016 Duke 200? Could please answer my queries about the following changes in 2016 model -

    1. New pillion seat assembly. Does it mean the shape or size of the pillion seat has changed?if so, a pic would be helpful.
    2. Modified ECU damper. Does duke have a electronic damper control like high end cars?

    Thanks

I can't be doing that on a highway if my cables break.. So far they are OK "touchwood"

      Why spiraltech?

Well, i am planning on shorting the two positives of the front indicators with a switch and activate all four indicators at once.. with the same indicator switch.. Since these are LEDs I am not sure if they would over load or anything...
      Hi Paradoxr9019,

I have seen that video in YouTube which you are telling.... I wish to make a video. But, with phone... Video's don't come fine.
Where are you from? If u r in Bangalore i will do it for you in person. Or pm me your number will make a video and whatsapp u

It's better to change both the wires every year... This prevents unexpected mishaps on highway.

I would recommend you not to meddle with the electrical's of bike.

This is what i have installed... It's simple plug-n-play hazard lights...

And buddy, today i removed all the items from under the rear seat.... Still then i get that sound...i felt like its coming from the vibration of pillion foot rest... Don't know how to tighten it...

Yes.. I am planning to change them but the service center guys are asking me to leave the bike while they do that but I want to make the replacement myself that's why ...

I too thought that it would overload the circuit but the indicators being led, I haven't faced any issues so far.
        Touchwood..

It's plug and play and it's definitely worth the money.

I don't think its because of the pillion footrest.. You get this rattling sound when accelerating or decelerating?

You hear this sound when you hit a bump/ speed breaker on the road or all the time.?

The tail kit is actually hollow may be something fell inside and rattling?

About the footrests, let me check and update you...

Guys, I had a query. What is the interval of cleaning the throttle body & due injector. And, is it a paid service? I am at the svc for my 3rd service, and have done 7690 kms. Changing all the filters and the spark plug

I hear that sound only when i hit a bump or broken roads... It won't come on a speed breaker...

I wil try to remove the tail and see...

              Hi Guys

Hope all are doing good.I had a AS200 pulsar and i am selling it,not becasue i want more power but because it had given me so much trouble in life, problems that can never be sloved on planet earth!
I shortlisted D200,Mojo,CBR250R but i am looking for reliability as i dont want any niggles or issues and dont want to go to SVC every weekend. Can you please suggest me which one shall i go for and any reason if possible.I TD duke and liked it .Also liked the 250R but its comfort is excellent.
I am 28,6 feet and 89 Kgs.I shift gears t around 4.5 - 5 rpm and generally a sane rider.Hardly redline.I will msotly(95%) time drive in Bangalore city and 200 kms may be highway drive once a month.

If you don't want to visit the SVC every now and then then I suggest you go for a cbr cause it's the most refined and niggle free bike out of the 3

Hmm okay.but the 2016 model may be a bit problem free.250 is an old bike and I sometimes think it may phase out soon and parts might be an issue as I am planning to useit for atleast 5-6 years

U can still power the 250 as much as the duke... To start, air filter, ECU remap n a exhaust change, changes the character of the bike, if your adventurous enough, bigger piston, bigger bore n all.

                      Hi guys
Just wanted to know does the duke still splash mud to the rear of the pillon with the hugger(how it is when its stock)
I went to the showroom and when asked the sales guy told that it doesn't even splash a single drop of mud or water to pillion or rider but from what I have seen it does as one of my friend gas a d390 and it does badly.
                      Please can anyone confirm.

Do u know that KTM has said that they are planning to change all their current lineups in 2017

So I guess if u buy a 200 now it would end up being an older version by next year or so and if u wait for the newer version they u would have to face the niggles and problems of a newly launched bike

It all ends at your preference

Well I have done a mod on my bike... Solved the dirty bike problem..
My pick would be the duke because it's a city bike and I won't say it's completely free of issues but a word of advise... No matter how sane you are when it comes to riding, if you crank a dook, you would definitely redline.. if you want to know more about the mod., let me know.. Would be glad to assist but its strictly diy

                              There is one more thought..
Now that the Himalayan is launched, would KTM, Yamaha, Suzuki, tvs or bajaj launch their own real adventure tourers??
Well I am getting a sweet feeling ..

And if its left stock how it is then does it splash a lot in wet roads.I had experienced it just after rain.
