I have never used geared bike before. Only used Activa,Dio, etc.
Its not meant for everyone.. Please don't mistake my comment.. She is a rocket .. Literally.. Torquey, quick to accelerate, easy revving, sharp braking and light weight bike...
I would definitely not recommend this to a rider who is moving from a dio or any gearless vehicle .. Please refrain !!!

If you still choose to get this rocket, do get proper riding gear

This is my first post here so please cooperate.

I have a KTM DUKE 200 (2014 model). Clocked 25000 kms. Recently I had to change my chain sprocket at KTM service centre in Lower Parel (Mumbai). Since its changed, bike makes a roaring sound when it exceeds 70 kmph. I have shown it to the service centre but it seems that they are unable to understand the problem and there is no way to get if off. I made a complain too about this but it seems useless they are least bothered about it.

Additionally if there are any 3rd party experts service centres servicing dukes in Mumbai, please let me know. Seems KTM Authorised service centres are not helpful. Any help would be appreciated.

      Regards
      Sam
Please check the chain slack and the wheel alignment.. Also check for the lubrication inside the hub bearings.. Hope this helps

Hello everyone this is related to my rc200 please don't start yelling at me that this is a duke thread.
        I just need help.
I am getting clunking sound when I open the throttle in low rpm sometimes even at 4k-5k rpm coming from the front part of the bike. It's not the fairing vibs but something else.
If anyone is facing this issue please help me with a solution.
As the service people are not able to fix it.
        Thank you 😊

I got my gel pads from 'Biking Spirit' in Bangalore. Mine is the 1 inch thick gel's.

I got that decal design online... And got it fabricated locally here.
Hey Jeshu.. I have added an additional layer of foam to my exisitng seat and the seat is somewhat soft now. But I am also thinking of upgrading to gel seats..
Can you share your experience with gel seat on your dook?? I mean comfort during a long drive.. How long can you stay on the saddle? Before and after the upgrade?? Thanks

              Hi Paradox,

I haven't used foam yet so i can't directly compare it with gel pads.

              On long drives:
With stock seats i can drive for 2~2.5 hrs comfortably.
With gel pads i am able to drive for 6hrs approx...

proper riding gear is not going to compensate for rash driving and other fellow road users' life. not just the dukes even a mildly quick bike such as a cbz could an issue.
@Aditya_007 i suggest you first learn driving a motorcycle (if you haven't already) on something like a splendor. and once you are comfortable with it and can drive with a bit of sense, i don't see why the d200 should not be your 'first' geared bike. you just have to take it slowly and learn to brake and accelerate and not let your ego take the rider seat and do stupid stuff.

Thanks, I will try learning on a bike first and then go for a 200cc. Then it will be either Ns or Duke.

6 hours is some serious time so it's definitely worth it.. Will be opting for gel pads soon.. Thanks for your feedback bro

Dhawal Mahindra tried it on the D390, it should work with the Duke 200 as well. But I would suggest you to get a better one, like the Magura.

Sure bro, it's worth it. But one word of caution...after u get gel pads don't use the seat covers which the local shopkeeper's have. As, these cheap covers along with gel pads get baked when parked in sun and the covers become hard n brittle reduce the softness of gel pads... So you may have to change the covers every 3-4 months or so.

Instead.. What i do is get the seat covers from car seat cover makers.... They have a thick seat cover.. Which doesn't become much hot and the gels remain soft even if parked in sun.

If you are in Bangalore goto this guy... He has the good seat covers.
