The manual however instructs to check the chain slack when the bike is leaning over the side stand for sure. After that, it does not explicitly mentions the requirement of a paddock or a side stand for chain tightening+alignment on the next page. The pictures too dont have the bike standing on a paddock too. But a paddock is sure more logical option for rear wheel alignment as the wheel axis would be horizontal in that case.
HDFC has some good offers. If you could get a loan from a nationalized bank then better still

[QUOTE=NiXTriX;824196]The sound is absolutely orgasmic once you cross the 6000 rpm mark
. I think you might have heard the bike at a distance. Try wearing a helmet and then sit on the bike. you'll fall in love I am sure

True mate. It's like music to the ears after 6000rpm. I got my 1st service done and on my way to office after that it let rip for the first time. And oh boy, it becomes an angry banshee after 6000 rpm.It likes to be flogged and lets the rider know it.
PS : got my first service done today morning. No oil change as it's been only 300 kms since the last oil change and no vehicle wash. Will again change the oil at around 1200-1300. Other service work was done however.Chain greasing and tightening, rear wheel alignment. The head mech was not there, so the junior mech did all the stuff and probably the reason the wheel is still not aligned properly IMO. I can see the chain when it moves, not taking a linear path. There is this slight non linearity with respect to the chain sliding guard. THe service advisor, Gopal told that wheel alignment could be measured at a car servicing station but they did not have the tool.
Will take it to svc again this weekend and let the head mech tend to it.
The staff is helpful and treat you very well but they can do with a little more professionalism. I had to remind them of using the KTM diagnostic tool to take the falt memory dump, after which they duely did the same. The tool that they use is a Bajaj branded box which has modes for 220 DTS-i Fi, the Ninja and the KTM.So no KTM exclusive memory diagnostic tool atleast here. Anyone seen them using one anywhere else?
The torque wrenches are still not being used to tighten the nuts. The wrenches have arrived, but they are still in the warehouse is what I was told by the SVC. What exactly are they still doing lying in the warehouse is something I could only surmise.
Will try to grab the meguires/autoglym/collinite polish/wax today. Any pointers where can I get them from in Mumbai? Anyone?
